3/5/22

Both Craig and Jason are 12 in this.

Jason and Craig walked down the creek holding hands, a comfortable silence filled as they walked. The only sound that filled the boys ears were the birds chirping, the creek stream and wind blowing. When Craig wasn't looking Jason glanced at his shining brown eyes, he just couldn't believe him and Craig have been dating for a year already.

Both boys thought it would be nice to spend a day together and taking a scroll around the creek holding hands. Craig was hoping his palms weren't getting sweaty and Jason was worrying he'll accidentally hold Craigs hand too tight, but neither worries were happening.

After awhile, they decided to sit down next to each other under a tree. "Jason, our one year is coming soon"Craig began slipping his hand onto Jasons dorsal as he redden from his boyfriends comforting touch he always loved. "Y-yeah it is..."Jason said looking up now "Well, I've actually got an idea of what could be done to celebrate..."Craig said his touch not leaving the back of Jasons hand. "I've been thinking of doing something like an art trade with each other"Craig said getting out a piece of paper, Jason knew what an art trade was but he had never done one before.

"You know what an art trade is right?"Craig tried to assure, his boyfriend nodded. "Good, so I was thinking we could give each other the drawings on the day of our anniversary. So, what would you like me to draw?"Craig asked, Jason thought for a moment but later knew what to say. "Well, of course I'd like a drawing of my favorite flower, Rhododendrons or my biggest blessing, this relationship with you..."Jason said "Sure thing! Let me think of what I'd like..."Craig said in thought, there was a short silence of Craig thinking but he later spoke.

"I got it! Slide the Ferret or the creek, I know it's cliche but oh well"Craig said, Jason nodded as he made a mental note to himself to get it started since he only had two weeks until his and Craigs first anniversary and they'd have to reveal their drawings. Soon the dinner bell rang and the two love birds said their goodbyes and walked back home. After dinner, the two went to their rooms and started drawing what they brainstormed at dinner.

Craig sat down in his chair and pulled out some paper, he got out his cell phone for reference for rhododendrons and Jason. At dinner just when Craig was eating the last bit of garlic bread he got an idea of what he was gonna do. He decided to do both options Jason gave him to draw in this art trade, Craig started to sketch a drawing of him and Jason dancing together in a field of rhododendrons. Over at Jasons house, he got his idea while trying to drown out the idea he may have to have another dinner without his mom and dad. He got an idea to draw that Ferret Craig liked, at the creek. He thought it wouldn't hurt to combine his options. So when he finished his dinner and got out his phone and started drawing on a digital art app. Once he was finished he changed for an errors and later printed it to finally put some laminate paper on it.

It was finally the day the two boys would show each other their drawings. Craig walked up to Jason at the creek with his drawing in hand and Jason was as well. "So, who's gonna show the drawing first?"Craig asked, "Let's do it at the same time, it'll be just as special"Jason said struggling to hold in his excitement for his anniversary gift. "3...2...1!".

Jason and Craig then showed each other their drawings, Jason blushed seeing the drawing of him and his true love dancing in a beautiful field of the flowers he loved. Craig looked amazed seeing his favorite cartoon ferret at his favorite place, he didn't know Jason drew digitially. Jason handed Craig the drawing and Craig did the same. "You're such a good artist..."Jason said admiring the artwork drawn by Craig, he smiled and kissed Jason on the cheek while holding his drawing. "Happy one year, babe"Craig said. "I'm 12"Jason winked joking, "But seriously, happy anniversary to you too. I love you..."
