In which Wakiya slowly begins coming to terms with his time at the institute as his treatment begins, meanwhile his fellow patients have their own trials and tribulations to go through.

"Good morning, Wakiya. It's good to see you."
"Morning, Doctor Kitaniji. Uh, likewise," I mumble, sitting down in the chair opposite of her and glancing around. The office is small and organized well, a couple cork-boards lined up nearby the doctor's head and a clean desk set underneath that. The walls are painted purple, there's a purple, soft rug rolled across the linoleum floor, and there are some black chairs for us to sit in.
"So, have you been adjusting well to life here? Is there anything I could do to help you be more comfortable?"
"... I'm alright, thanks."
She frowns a little, clearly unconvinced but not wanting to push it and make me uncomfortable. "Is everyone treating you well, at least?"
"Oh, yeah. Everyone's been just fine to me."
"And I've heard you and Daigo are getting along well?"
"Yeah. He and I knew each other before we were brought here- friends at school. He's always been pretty quiet, so it's not too hard adjusting to him not talking." Vocally, at least.
"I'm glad to hear it. After all, I'm sorry to say that Daigo has had roommates before you, but they all found his silence frustrating and uncomfortable to the point that they didn't want to share a room with him. We had to abide by their wishes, of course, but I found it incredibly unfair to Daigo. He has his reasons for maintaining that silence, after all."
"Mm. What are those reasons, though? I assume that you know, being his doctor and all."
"I do, but it's not my place to tell you, Wakiya," She says, frowning a bit. "You can try asking Daigo himself if you're so curious, but it's really not anything you need to know."
I heave a sigh, but I can't argue with that. After all, I wouldn't really want her telling Daigo all my problems behind my back- nor would I want him asking about it directly. "Right. Fair point."
"Now, aside from that, do you have any other questions? Even if you don't want to talk about your troubles just yet, there are still ways to make this a productive session."
"... Have you heard anything about Zac? Is he doing okay?"
"About Zac?" She echoes, raising her eyebrows a bit in surprise. "Yes, I have. Doctor Silve says he's starting to come around again. I think he'll most likely be open for visitors by this time tomorrow."
I shift around in my seat, turning my head to look at the wall nearby. "That's good, at least. It'll be nice to see him around again, if only for a couple days."
"A couple days?"
"I mean, the day he goes in to see Doctor Silve is coming up again, isn't it? Unless something changes, I presume that the cycle is going to repeat itself and he'll lock himself in his room again." Which is just... Jarring. I hate how much I hate knowing that such a cheerful, optimistic person is in shambles. I barely even know the guy!
