In which Daigo must survive the night at Camp Crystal Bey and escape the wrath of Red Eye. It will be a mission easier said than done, especially with human nature getting in the way of his companions and pulling the group every which way. (Orochi, Jin and Ukyo are most likely going to be OOC.)

-----

When we get in the cabin Boa slams the door shut, scaring me to death and startling everyone else awake. I drop onto my knees, sitting there and trembling as the others start to stir.

"What's going on?" Orochi questions, sounding wide awake already.

"The ghost of Red Eye is real," Jin says, beginning to grin as the words pass his lips and the realization sets in. "We just saw him outside! It was so surreal!"

"H- He killed W-Wakiya," I stammer, reaching up and clutching my head in my hands.

"He what?!" Ukyo shrieks, coming over to my side and shaking my arm. "What do you mean?!"

"Wakiya- he thought that Red Eye was just some kid playing a prank and got really mad," Boa explains as he starts dragging a cot to the door. "But he was real! He had a camp t-shirt from 1957 and a real ax that he killed Wakiya with!"

Orochi and Ukyo go to Boa, helping him move the cot as Jin drags me out of the way.

"He had the mask, too!" Jin chimes in, almost cackling with glee. Boa shoots him a glare at he seems to ignore. "The very same mask from the pictures!"

"That's just great," Orochi spits out like venom, his voice sounding strained as the loss of a life hits him.

"What about Daigo?" Ukyo asks as he and Boa go to grab another cot, then he addresses me directly. "He didn't hurt you, did he?"

I let out a shaky breath, looking down. "I- I thought he was going to. I thought h-he was going to kill me."

"And Norman?"

"He went to go tell Gilten," Boa says, grunting with effort as the cot begins to shake in his arms. Without thinking, I slip off my pack and go to help him. I feel like I'm walking on two left feet, but we manage to get it over to the door and on top of the first cot. "And he told us to stay here and barricade the door."

"How long will that last against a ghost?!" Orochi questions, but he doesn't hesitate to help us carry one last cot to the door.

"Who knows? But better safe than sorry." Boa lets out a heavy breath as he drops to the floor, leaning against the cots as I drop onto my knees.

"What are we going to do if Norman doesn't come back soon?" Ukyo murmurs, sitting down beside me and taking one of my hands in his.

"We'll just have to wait this out," I mumble, looking to the floor for a moment. "The worst thing we can do is get separated from one another."

"He's right," Boa agrees, nodding once and covering his face. "Even if staying here is unbearable, it's what we have to do."

So we wait. Orochi takes to impatiently pacing about as we do, Ukyo sits down and meditates, Boa and I sit in silence, and Jin sits down on my cot, seeming swept up in fantasies. It's obvious he still wants to be the one to pacify Red Eye's ghost, but I have no idea how he'd do that without getting chopped up first.

Pretty soon I get restless and grab my bag, fishing out my pocket watch and checking the time.

"It's been half an hour," Boa murmurs. "Norman should have been been back by now."

"He and Gilten may have gone to the police," Ukyo says calmly.

"Or maybe they were killed," Orochi mutters as he paces by, chewing on his lip for a moment. "We don't have any way of knowing."
