In which Hyde realizes that in order to keep himself and his partner safe, he needs to get back into the game and start hunting for the clues needed to find out who's threatening them. Before he can close the case, though, he has to convince Shu that he's ready to go back to work.

I can't let this drag on. I can't let whoever's hunting me down find me. Me and my partner... I have to find them before they can do any damage...
Hyde pulled his knees to his chest, shivering in fear. I have to get back to being a detective, no matter how not ready I am... Because I can't send Shu out alone. I can't. He needs me.
He squeezed his eyes shut, sucking in several deep breaths before pushing himself up. But in order to get back into the fray, I have to convince Shu I'm ready to go.
With that in mind, he went and got ready for the day. He showered, changed his bandages and then got dressed in his usual garb, then he quickly ate the breakfast Shu had made for him and brushed his teeth.
After that, he went to get their Beys. Hades was in his room, like normal, and Spryzen Requiem was hidden somewhere in Shu's. When Hyde first stepped into the room, he glanced at Shu's journal, pausing again as the strange temptation to read through it sparked in him again. He wasn't sure why he was suddenly so curious... After all, he never had been so intensely interested before.
But then again, with everything that's happened lately, there's probably a lot in there about me... He thought, wringing his wrists anxiously. He stepped closer to the nightstand, picking up the note and looking at the blank, dark gray cover of the book uncertainly.
Almost like it was saying don't do it, Hades pulsed in its Blader's hand, reminding Hyde of the task at hand. He jolted a little, and then he went to the rack hanging on the wall and grabbed the detective's school satchel. Well... It used to be his school satchel, but Shu said that when he moved to New York he started homeschooling, and now the bag was only for detective stuff.
Hyde got out the handy dandy skeleton key in it, then he returned to the nightstand and unlocked the drawer. He opened it and pulled out the dark Bey- knowing full well that Shu may kill him for tampering with it, especially after that one case- and tucked it into the bag along with Hades.
Finally, he grabbed the apartment keys, locked up and left for the Raging Bulls' gym. People on the street gasped and let out startled 'oh's as Hyde slipped past, all probably wondering where he was going in such a hurry.
Hyde made his way to the gym, pushing the door open and slipping in. It was just as busy and loud as always, full of passionate Bladers training with every ounce of strength they had. Hyde couldn't help but- even in this dire situation- find it comforting.
He glanced around for any sign of white hair or red eyes, even the black coat his partner always wore, but he couldn't see anything of the like. He did notice that several of the young Bladers were looking his way and perking up, smiling brightly and beginning to chatter excitedly.
Before he knew it, he was surrounded by young and cheerful Bladers who were all bouncing up and down, trying to talk to the co-manager and one of the idols of the Raging Bulls. "Uh, hi, guys."
"Hyde! Hyde, you're back!" They all cheered out of unison.
"We missed you so much!"
"Hey, hey, hey, can you show me how to fix my launch?"
