In which becoming one with Requiem and going through the Requiem Project was an impossible task that Ashtem forced to become possible. The result was a Bey of unfathomable power and a Blader whose mind is unraveling.
Ashtem doesn't care that his ultimate Blader is falling apart at the seams and only wants him to achieve full power no matter the costs. Gold Eye, however, has learned to care and is getting sick of Ashtem's complete disregard for Red Eye's well being.
(Red Eye is eleven, Gold Eye is seventeen. Extremely graphic ending, don't like don't read!)

"He's run off again," Gold Eye sighed. He had been tasked to watch over Red Eye until his mental state was back to normal, but during training today he had been asked to go attend to something else and the the beast Blader had slipped away.

"So?" Ashtem huffed impatiently, not even turning away from his work- which was helping the scientists find some treatment for the red-eyed Blader's psychosis. Not because he was worried about his Requiem Blader, but because he was weary of the 'constant interruptions' caused by it. "Go find him!"

And so, he did. Gold Eye trudged through the Snake Pit, following the directions given by the watchful eyes of the overseers until he reached one of the rooms filled with pipes and power generators. The sounds of the machines running filled the room, but it wasn't loud enough to mute the sound of someone's shivering breaths and whimpering.

That someone was Red Eye, obviously. He must have had another break and bolted when he was supposed to be training with Spryzen Requiem.

Not that he could really be blamed for it... From the moment it appeared in the realm of Shu's mind during the Requiem Project, everyone could see that there was something wrong with the spirit inside that Bey.

And if that alone wasn't enough, the fact that hearing its voice and feeling its presence sent Red Eye into an insane frenzy was a good indicator, too.

Gold Eye frowned even more, unable to help the pang of sympathy he felt, then he maneuvered through the pipes and made his way to the corner of the room. There he found a series of pipes that wove up and down through each other, only a few inches between each pipe and looking akin to a small jail cell.

There were a couple of upright pipes missing from one side, leaving a reasonable opening between the wall and the first pipe of the side. That was how Red Eye managed to slip into the cell, safe in the knowledge that he was the only one able to fit through it.

Now he simply laid on the floor, shivering uncontrollably and staring into the darkness with wide, disturbed eyes.

Gold Eye let out a shaky breath, kneeling by the cell and, as he wondered how he'd get Red Eye out of it, murmuring, "Red Eye?"

"Please, no more training today. No more, p- please," The beast Blader pleaded, his voice sounding so small and vulnerable that it made Gold Eye nauseous when he thought of ignoring that simple plea.

"You have to, Red Eye. Ashtem's orders."

He whimpered at that, curling further in on himself. "B- But I've been training for hours. I can't take this anymore, I can't!"

"It- it will get easier, I promise. Just come with me and we'll battle a bit long-"

"No, no, no! Please no more, d- don't make me keep training!"

Pursing his lips, Gold Eye looked to his lap as he tried to think of a way to coax Red Eye into going with him. Last time he had no choice but to sedate the poor thing, but right now- with as hard to reach as he was- that would be ill advised.
