In which Wakiya shows the others a creepy book in the middle of the night and a few bad decisions are made. (Wakiya x Rantaro, continuation of Beyblade and Witchcraft. I've still got my own magic system in this!)

"Man, Marvel is always the coolest!" Valt cheers, jumping to his feet beside me. "HULK, SMASH!"
"Puny god," Daigo, who's sitting beside Valt, mimics with a little smile. "And then Loki just whines like a puppy- hilarious."
"You listen well, brother," Wakiya, sitting across from me, mutters lowly to mimic Thor's voice. "And then Loki's just like, 'I'm listening'."
"It seems to run on some kind of electricity!" Rantaro laughs. He's sitting between Wakiya and I.
"Well, you're not wrong," I reply, and we both laugh a little bit more.
No more than a few months ago, I found out I wasn't the only witch in Beigoma. He's still got a lot to learn, but Rantaro is a fantastic witch already. He had even mastered making up spells on the fly by the time we found out about the other's gifts. Ever since then we've become even better friends, bonded by our magic and our secret, that no one except us knows about.
After all, how would you go about telling your family and friends that you're a witch? If I did that, I'd be burned at the stake. I'm glad Rantaro found out when he did, because I think I was about to go nuts from having to keep that to myself.
"Alright, now enough about the movie. We'll gab about it more when we rewatch it tomorrow," Wakiya suddenly interrupts, waving his hand dismissively. "I have something to show you!"
"What is it?" Valt asks, his eyes going wide and sparkling. "Is it presents?!"
"No! It's not your birthday!" Wakiya reaches under his bed, looking to us with an intense stare. "If any one of you tell my parents about this, I will gut you all."
"Uhhhh," I drone out. Daigo speaks up, asking nervously,
"What are you going to show us?" He glances at Valt, who tilts his head curiously. "Nothing inappropriate, right?"
Wakiya blinks for a moment, then his face goes beet red. "Wha- of course not! Nothing like that, you pervert!"
"Hey, you made it sound like-" Rantaro turns to Valt, then trails off. "Never mind. Uh, I swear to secrecy."
Everyone else choruses out "same," and Wakiya gives us a satisfied nod. "Remember, you speak a word of this to my parents, and I'm killing you."
He finally pulls something out from underneath the bed, and I recognize it the moment I realize it's giving off a weak magical aura. Rantaro and I exchange nervous glances as Wakiya drops it in the middle of our circle. It's a magic tome...
"Check it out! Pretty cool, isn't it?"
"... What is it?" Valt questions. Wakiya huffs, flipping the book open and pulling a curtain back so a single shaft of dim moonlight can shine onto the pages. Written on them are spells and their uses, each one taking up a full page. "Uhm, that's kinda creepy."
"And you found this where?" Daigo murmurs, looking at Wakiya with a very worried look in his eyes.
"A bookstore. Doesn't matter where."
"Okay. But what made you think it would be a good idea to buy it?"
Wakiya snorts. "What, don't tell me you think these are actual spells? Don't be ridiculous!" He flips to the next page. "I mean, see? A spell to summon witches. It's so laughable!"
