"Come on, Shu! Let's go through the hall of mirrors!" Valt cheered, grabbing onto his friend's arm and beginning to lead him into the part of the carnival he mentioned. Shu only smiled, allowing himself to be dragged along with no hesitation.

"Man, this is so cool!" The umber-eyed Blader chirped as they reached the mouth of the hall of mirrors, which had a board resting at the top with its title written in crazy, squiggly letters. As they stepped into what was more a dark cave than a hall, he lowered his voice and whispered to his friend. "Oooh, this is scary!"

"Cross your fingers that there aren't any clowns in here." Shu replied in a light, teasing manner, smiling even more when his friend's eyes bugged out.

"I didn't even think about that! Now I'm really scared..."

"I won't let anything get you."

They wandered deeper into the cave, soon reaching the part where the mirrors were lined along the walls, floor and ceiling. Some were even hanging from the ceiling, and they all reflected the two Bladers in funny, disproportional ways. Valt and Shu giggled at their strange images in the mirrors, moving and shifting to see what would change.

"Hey, Shu, I'm as big as Xander now!" Valt shouted, standing as tall as he could and indicating the mirror that made him look tall and bulky.

"Heh heh, muscles look good on you."

"Aw, thanks!"

Shu glanced at a different mirror, snorting and then laughing into his hand. "Oh, hey! This one is making me look as short as Lui."

The Valkyrie Blader looked, then he laughed when he saw that Shu was mimicking Lui in the reflection, crossing his arms and scowling comedically. "Nice! You look just as grumpy as he does!" He then jumped in front of his friend, laughing even more when he saw how tiny the mirror made him look. "Ahhh, now I'm only three apples high!"

He glanced at a different mirror, humming softly and lifting his head. "Huh? Shu, look, that mirror is making your clothes look green."

"Hmm?" Shu turned his head, beginning to smile when he saw the mirror Valt pointed to. "Oh, and my eyes, too." He stepped over to the mirror, with Valt following close by. "And my tie clip and the Beyblade logo. But why only that?"

"Well, other than that you don't have too much color." The umber-eyed Blader shrugged. Shu tilted his head curiously, gasping and lifting it when his reflection suddenly wore shades of robin blue. "Whoa! Blue Shu!" Valt smiled brightly, chuckling. "It looks good on you!"

"Thank you." Shu replied politely, smiling and leaning close to inspect his reflection. This time it changed to shades of yellow, which made him smile even more. "This is really cool! Valt, come try it!"

Both Bladers played in the hall of mirrors for a little bit, marveling at the color-changing mirror until it started to repeat colors, then they decided to head out. The rest of the day was spent trying all the carnival games they could with the rest of Beigoma Academy. Nothing too eventful happened, and by the time Shu came home he was beat. Full from all the carnival food he ate, he simply brushed his teeth and went to bed.
