In which on his way to a party Zac's forcing him to got to, Lui gets a rare chance to know someone he's known for a while a little better- and maybe even change how that someone feels about him. All the while, they're stylin' heckin' good. (Everyone is sixteen in this!)

An alarm on my phone goes off and I let out a loud groan, pushing myself up from the bed and glaring at where it sits on my nightstand. The message I wrote with it is 'Get dressed and go to the party, or else you're going to get blackmailed, you idiot.'

Yes, that's entirely correct. I am being blackmailed into going to Zac's dumb party. He somehow found a way to spy on me without detection, and I really don't want what he recorded to get out. I'm not going to even narrate what he recorded in my head, that's how serious I am.

So, I turn off the alarm and get up, pulling off the lounge-around-the-house clothes I had on and going to my closet. It's nearly empty, and I sigh as I remember that I forgot to do laundry. Okay, but what's in here?

I push back a couple of empty hangers, finding the black, leather jacket and matching pants my parents got me for my birthday last year. ... This'll do.

I smirk a little, pulling them off the hanger and pulling on the pants and a black belt just in case. I go to my dresser and pull out a white t-shirt, tugging that over my head before I slip on the jacket. It has a dragon insignia based off of Luinor embroidered on the back, making it even cooler.

After that I pull on my usual boots and, since the sun looks overly-bright outside, I grab a pair of sunglasses and put them on.

I grab my phone and head downstairs, snatching up my house keys before I shut off the lights and go out the door. I lock it once I'm outside, then I head for the subway station.

When I find the entrance to it I head down, pushing my shades up onto my head as I get out of the glaring sunlight.

The subway is crowded and stuffy as I expected, filled with the noise of busy people leading busy lives. None of them care about the people around them, and neither do I. As I slip past a couple people standing around and doing absolutely nothing, I glance up at one of the doors, seeing a flash of a pink dress as some girl boards the subway.

I shake my head dismissively as I slip through them, then I buy a ticket for the ride to Beigoma.

Finally I make it through the crowd and board the train, then I start to look for a seat. Most of them are still empty, but I'm hoping to get a seat near a wall or a gap, because this subway train's seats are always too close together and I hate having people breathing down both sides of my neck. I would find a different subway to take, but this is the cheapest one.

As I look around the train I spot a bit of pink out of the corner of my eye. Curious to see what she looks like, I turn to face her and... I take a somewhat startled step back...
