In which Shu learns a new spell, and then he gets a little too excited in his haste to show Rantaro. (Witchcraft AU.)

Shu: Hey, Honcho!
Shu: Honchooooo!
Shu: Head Honcho!
Shu: Genderbent name: Head Honchina! XD
Shu: I thought you said you were home today
why aren't you answering? ;-;
Shu: I thought you loved meeeeeeeeeeeeee?!
Shu: COME ON I HAVE SOMETHING REALLY
IMPORTANT I WANNA SHOW YOOOOOOU!
I groan softly, muttering to myself about Shu's ridiculous spam texting habit as I type up my reply.
You: good gods Shu I was taking a shower
Shu: You were gone for twenty-five minutes.
o.o Just what were you doing in there?
You: treating myself like a king you dirty-
minded person
Shu: I was actually imagining you singing
'Pocket Full of Sunshine' and soaping your
hair into a mohawk. 0:
I pause, looking away from my phone sheepishly because that is exactly what I was doing.
You: yeah, I wasn't. So anyway, why did
you send a dozen texts?
You: and why do you seem so hyper?
Shu: Weeelllll I have something I wanna
show you!
Shu: And I was up really late last night and
this morning I was EXHAUSTED-
Shu: So I drank a Red Bull. owo It was
yummy!
You: oh gods apocalypse
please tell me it was only the one
Shu: I actually bought another one.
They're so friggin' tasty-
You: ...
You: what did you want to show me
He doesn't reply right away like he has been, and as I wait I heave a sigh and sit down on the bed. A couple more minutes pass and I start to write another text, but then...
"TA DAAAH!"
"KYAAAH!" I yelp, jumping back and looking to Shu, who has just appeared in my room out. Of. Thin. Air. He's really jittery, and his eyes are really vibrant with caffeine-rush as he grins. He almost looks a little crazy, really...
"I learned a spell for warping!" Shu cheers excitedly, throwing his hands in the air. "It goes, 'flash of flame, carry me away to the place I desire, now'!"
He disappears in a flash of fire, which fades into embers after a moment... Until he reappears in the same flamey flash and throws his hands up again. "Just like that! Awesome, isn't it? I've been practicing all night long!"
I stare at him, blinking a few times. He bounces a little on the balls of his feet and I remember myself. "Yeah, that's great..."
"I know! And it's not just for fire, any element can use the spell, you just have to change 'flash of flame' to, like, 'surge of lightning' or 'scourge of plague or 'fall of water'! It's SO COOL!" He squeals, bouncing up and down more.
