Once it was settled that Keirrin wouldn't attatch herself to anyone she came into sight with, Jarred allowed her to come with us on our walk over to the school. With most of the Night Class already downstairs, we had to hurry down the steps to the lobby. There, most of Jarred's and Kaito's group had gathered. They had been talking amongst each other until they noticed their purebloods coming down the steps. Then, they quickly separated to show their loyalty.

Off to the side of the room, Kaname and Yuuki's group kept to themselves. I caught Kaname Kuran's eye. He held my gaze for a second, then looked away to his girlfriend. Ever since Zero had been cleared of his charges, he had been more flexible with the other two pureblood-controlled groups at the school. I think he was doing it for Yuuki. I couldn't see him being agreeable because he felt like it. Kaname wasn't that type of person.

When it was time to walk the path to the school, everyone lined up and got into pairs. Keirrin quickly jumped in line beside me before Kaito could. She stuck her tongue out at him like a child. Being a gentlemen, Kaito restrained his temper and went to stand by his own cousin, Koien, who usually didn't have anyone to stand by on the way over. The large double doors opened up before us and gave us our cue to leave.

I was better used to the fan girls, and the occasional fan guys, this year. The first time I had walked in front of the crowd, I was frightened to death of their stares. Now, I knew that they simply thought I was amazing, no matter if I looked my best or not. Even if I tripped, the humans would rush to my aid and ask if I was okay. So far this year, I hadn't taken a fall, and I didn't plan on it either. With this knowledge, I still didn't go over the top like some of the others.

Toran and Arashi, along with Aido and Ichijo from Kaname's group and Osore from my brother's, absolutely loved to drive the girls crazy. They purposely smiled and waved, said hello to the girls they thought were cute, and acted as if they actually liked them. I used to get after Toran and Arashi for doing that to the poor girls, but they only laughed me off. They said it was the girl's own fault for falling for their charm. I tried to tell them that they couldn't help themselves, but they ignored me. So much for being a pureblood.

Today however, the boys weren't the only ones leading on the fans. Keirrin was being bold and waving to both the boys and girls, smiling at them.

"Heeeellllllllooooooooo!" She called out to the Day class students on the left and did the same for the right a moment later. "I'm Keirrin! I'll be seeing everyone every day for the rest of this year!" she cried.

She began to fall behind in step, trying to chat with all the human girls who quickly told her their names. They also began asking her plenty of questions that took up her full attention span. I quickly hooked my arm in hers and lead her away before she got too caught up with talking to the humans.

"Hey, what are you doing?!" Keirrin complained, trying to jerk her way out of my grip.

"You're not suppose to make conversation with them." I scolded her in a low whisper.

My cousin pouted, showing her lower lip. "You're no fair."

"School rules." I countered.

After she quieted down, I let her go. By this point we had already walked out of range of the Day Class students anyways, so there was no reason for me to hold her back. I opened the door for myself and entered into the Cross Academy's main building. Keirrin came in behind me, but she wasn't scheduled for the same classroom as I was. Instead, I heard constant 'Jerries', telling me that my brother had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with her the entire night. He, obviously, knew how to deal with her, or at least, tolerate her. I didn't know if I could stand my cousin much longer.
