Today was now Monday and that meant back to school. I could hardly believe that so much stuff could happen in two weeks. This was the third week of school. Third week of homework torture. But when I thought about it, if I could handle crazed vampires, why not tons of homework? Well, at least the vampires did things quickly. Homework took hours.
I was walking to class with Sam and Risa. It had been a while since I'd seen them. Their disappearing act on Saturday and Sunday had caught me off guard. Sam had gone to visit relatives on the weekend that were four towns over from the academy. That meant a whole five hour bus ride their and back. Sam had said the trip had been painfully long. Risa on the other hand had gone to see a movie with her cousin that was two towns over. She had only had a one and a half hour bus ride there and back, but to Risa it had still been uterly boring. With the energy she had it was impossible for her to stay still for a minute.
I felt lucky for them. My step-parents lived nine towns over from the academy. It meant that if I was to leave to go see them it would take a day and a half. The country side was vast and towns were spread out pretty far apart. Sure it was beautiful to see the greenery and all, but it took forever for you to get anywhere.
As we entered the building, Sam departed us so that she could go to her History class. Risa was skipping energetically beside me and begging for me to join her. I refused her pleading, I was still stiff. That brought me to another matter. I hadn't told Sam or Risa about my injury or accident. I figured that since it was pretty much healed and all, there was no need to tell them an excuse.
We took our regular seats in English as the minute bell rang. I took a peek behind me to see Zero. His face was frozen in an emotionless anger. Seeing him like that was different, all I had known was his friendly composition. I remembered what Yori had said about him though. That before I came he had been frozen in pain about his losing Yuuki. Why was Zero phasing back to his old pain? I thought that his crush on me had made him completely forget about Yuuki.
I turned around slowly as the lesson started. Hopefully he would cheer up as the day went on.

The Headmaster, Kaien Cross
"Here are your rooms gentlemen." I said, motioning with my arms to their rooms.
"Thanks Kaien." the pureblood said to me.
"No problem. And if you follow me this way ladies, your room is over here." and I motioned again to their rooms.
"We all get our own rooms! Thanks Daddy!" A cheerful girl voice shouted out.
"No problem. I thought you might enjoy your new acomidations at Moon dorm." I replied with a touch of cheer in my voice as well.
It had been a while since I had seen my step-daughter. Two long years to be exact. The same time it had tooken to rebuild the academy when I thought about it.
"Well," I began,"I'll see you tonight everyone. I'm sure you'll want to rest with that long trip you had to take to get here." I said in the doorway.
"Yes. I hope to see Zero is all well and fine." the pureblood said with a hint of sarcasim in his voice.
"He is. See you after dark." I said and then left the vampires to their sleep.

Zero had been cold to me all day long. He wouldn't come up to me to talk at all, not like he ever had done that before, just that because we were going out I thought he would be more social. Talking is kind-of required when you're dating someone. I wondered if Zero knew that. He probably did, what was I thinking?
