Akatsuki had acomplished in knocking out the gun in the hunter's hands and was now about to go and fight in hand to hand combat. That fight would be over quickly.

"I'm getting tired of this." Rima spoke out. She had been the only person to talk since the beggining of the fight.

She pointed her hand dirrectly at the hunter's chest and fired a power packed lightning bolt. It hit the hunter dead on and the man fell backwards onto the floor. He began to twitch from the intensity of the shock going through his nervous system.

I turned to check up on Shiki. He had succeeded in wrapping his blood whip around the hunter's ankle and holding him upside down in the air. The hunter went to grab one of his spare guns, but Shiki tossed him to the wall with ease causing the man to hit it with a hard crash. The man fell to the floor, the wall sending a few crumbles after him. Shiki stood next to Rima then, both of their jobs done. I glanced over to Akatsuki. He had finished his fight as well and was sitting on the hunter like he was a couch. His hunter had landed on his stomach and looked passed out. There was a dominant black eye on the right side of his face.

"What do we do now, Kaname?" Akatsuki asked me, seemingly bored now that the action had ended.

"Stay here and wait." I ordered." We'll make sure these hunters don't get back up on their feet and provide back-up to Kaito if needed."

Shiki and Rima began to lean up against a wall causually, whispering to each other quietly in a bored manner. Akatsuki remained on the hunter he had turned into a couch. Ichijo had succeeded in stopping the blood flow and was now bandaging Aido's arm up.

I walked down the stairs to the first floor to join my group.

So far we hadn't had any good luck. The rooms we had searched so far hadn't had a single sign that anyone had been in them. I was beggining to get desperate. Why couldn't we find her? Where had they hidden her away? Kogeta had said she was somewhere within this huge mansion, but we had already searched half of it. My distress echoed in the others. They seemed to be frantic too and more causious with their searching as well.

We passed a few rooms, still no sign, and then the hallway widdened up. We had found the main hallway on this floor. There were thick walls on either side of us, impossible to see through. I wondered if the hunters had done this on purpose. That meant that we were getting close. We walked until we were in the middle on the large hallway. I finally spotted on the other side a T-section that had a window. The edge of the mansion. And if I remembered correctly, there was windows and a large glass door in the master bedroom. I felt a flow of hope go through me. We were almost there.

I stopped when I saw a figure stop in front of the window and face towards us. He was of adverage height and weight and stood, blocking the T-section that we would have to take to get to Emma. I became enraged a bit, but I controled my emotion and stood there with a calm face, waiting for him to take the first move. His scent told me that he wasn't the level E. This must be the old man.

The old man stood his ground, not even moving an inch, and kept his eyes locked on us. He then went to bring his hand up. I tensed and my group followed the gesture. Then, the old man waved towards the hallway he had just came out of, the left one. Another figure came out, and this one surprised me. I straightened up out of my tense lean to make sure my eyes weren't fooling me.

The second figure was indeed the level E, but it was the identity of the creature that sent me into disbelief. When had Ren been bitten by a pureblood? Certainly not at Cross Academy, so where? And how?
