I was inside a large mansion walking down the hallway, and I was only about four feet tall----it was like I was in the body of a six or seven year old. The walls were white and the floor was a dark tan. Paintings were hung throughout and I assumed they were of various important people, all dressed in outfits that reminded me of the midevil times from my history book. There were large windows every few feet that went from my knees all the way up to the ceiling. Long, silky red curtains were drawn back from the windows letting light fall on the opposite wall. The spaces inbetween the windows were bleak.

I moved through the hallway against my will, as if I was a puppet, until I came upon two large wooden doors. My arms moved by themselves to open the doors and revealed a large master bedroom. The room had a large ceiling and was in the shape of a square. Only one piece of furniture dominated the room. It was a huge king-sized bed that had transparent, ghost like drapes floating through the air being drawn by the open glass doors across the room. By this time my body had moved half way through the room, so that I was directly in the center.

For the first time I noticed a woman standing in a white lace dress standing on the balcony facing away from me. My body began to inch towards the woman slowly, as if assessing if it was okay to approach her. The woman instantly turned around, as if she had sensed me coming, and held her hands toward me as if inviting me to come over. My body ran to her and my face landed in the lace dress where her legs would be. The woman put one of her arms on my back and gently beckoned me forward towards the contrete rail.

Looking over the balcony, I saw a huge garden in bloom. It was full of all sorts of colorful flowers and seemed to stretch as far as I could see around the house and about fifty feet forward. The garden had small brick paths through it so one could tend to the flowers easily. I found myself smiling at the beautiful garden. My head turned itself towards the woman behind me. She smiled back at me.

The woman was incredibilly beautiful too, I found, taking a closer look at her. Her hair was brown with a hint of red in it and it went down all the way down to her waist. I noticed her skin was porcelin just like mine. The only detail missing was that this lady was blurry past her nose. Like when there is something that is unappropiate on television, there are pixcels to block them out. This startled me for a bit, but the woman's lips stayed in the form of a smile.

Then everything started to fade out and wash away like water paint on a piece of paper. The weak smile I had on my face to tell the lady I was okay disappeared, and was replaced by a frightened frown. It all washed away and then it began to get dark. Going from a silver, to a dark gray, to a solid black. I found myself staring into this new found darkness. My eyes searched desperately for a hint of light, a way out of this pitch black nothingness. But there was nothing to save me. Slowly my breath began to go from a heavy in, out, in, out; to a short, raspy breathes. I began to hyperventalate.

My real eyes opened in a startled flash, to a white ceiling. I was still hyperventalating. I began to look around the ceiling and the part of the room I could see in this position. The entire room was white, the curtians that were in front of the window, the wall, and the cot I was on had an entire white outfit. I sat up on the cot. Jeez, it was bright. But I silently thanked the light. It had been my savior from the dark nothingness which I did not want to return to. My breath had slowed down exceptionally as I began to remember what had happened to me in the hallway. I had gone to get a drink from the water fountain, but had passed out along the way. I remembered the slight glimpse of Zero striding towards me.

"You okay?" a calm voice asked.

This startled me until I turned all the way around to see Zero in a metal chair tipping back against the white all. He stared at me through grey stone eyes that held not an ounce of emotion at all. I found myself getting lost in them, but I quickly pulled myself out of his gaze.

"Yeah" I said through a tired breath. The last part of the dream had drained me.

"The headmaster ordered me to stay here to make sure you were okay" he replied.

He was making a excuse. I could tell the way his eyes wavered from the perfect calmness to the excited skipped look from me to the wall and back again to my eyes. His body however held a perfected still stance, as if he had practiced looking that calm over and over again. I moved my lower half of my body so that my legs were now hanging off the bed, facing towards him. He said nothing, but looked away as if he was more intrested in what was going outside the window instead of the current situation in front of him. I narrowed my eyes a bit in annouance, but he took no notice of this.

Moving my arms so that they were positioned on both sides near my hips, I attempted to get up. Standing, I found out my head was still a little bit dizzy and I wobbled a bit. I took a few steps toward the door of the room in a dizzied state.

"I wouldn't do that just yet" he warned me.

His attention was still on the window, but he had been watching out of the corner of his eye surely to see me wobble. I stabled myself, closed my eyes, and took a big breath. Letting my breath out I set at again making my way towards the door. I heard the chair where Zero had been sitting scoot across the floor a bit. He had finally made up his mind to help me, seeing as I was being stubburn, but I didn't turn around. I instead focused on my goal of getting out of the room. When I finally got to the door of the large infermary, without help from lazy Zero, my head felt better and I believed I could walk straight again.

"You've been out for two hours, so it's luch time" said the calm voice of Zero. "Just in case you wanted to know" he added quickly.

Pushing the doors open, I began to walk down the hallway at a normal rate as if nothing had happened. Making my way towards the cafeteria, I heard the distinct sound of foot steps following me. Knowing that it must be Zero, I, without turning around, adressed him.

"Thank you very much for the help" I said in a polite, but bitter tone to tell him I wasn't fond of him,"But I think I will be okay without you following me." I said with confidence in my voice.

The footsteps behind me slowed down, but continued to follow me throughout the long hallways of Cross Academy. I became annoyed with the thought of Zero still trudging behind me watching my every move. I didn't want him messing with my personal life. So I said the one thing that was sure to get him as annoyed as me if he wasn't already.

"Are you some kind of stalker or something?" I said in a serious bitter tone.

My lips were clenched together and my teeth were gritting after I said the sentance. Zero let out a low grumble. The making him annoyed part worked, but I still heard the shoes behind me. I tried again.

"Would you just leave me alone you guard-dog growling stalker!!!" I yelled with my fists in a bunch.

Due to the fact I was against cussing, making small threats using the only words that were not considered gutter mouth words, were my only choice. I learned my small threats weren't going to bother him at all, only make him more irretable. Quickening my pace, I raced around the corner of the hallway to see the cafeteria not too far ahead of me. Jumping into the crowd gave me the perfect cover as my small slender self went inbetween groups off people heading in the opposite dirrection with ease while Zero was left to be held back by the crowds.
