Rose~n~Thorn Vampire: Chapter 6

Emma

I had failed getting any information from the headmaster, and I was sure Kaname wouldn't be up to talking. The only other person I could count on was Yuuki---if her lover had slipped anything to her accidently. I walked down the hall towards one of the lobby rooms for breaks between classes. 

It surprised me when I entered the first one that she was sitting with Violet and Hana. They were laughing together and pointing at pictures in a magazine. I had never been intrested in those kind of things before, but apparently there was something so halarious that they couldn't stop cracking up. As I crossed the room towards them, I realized that there were many of Kaito's and Kaname's group getting along. Only a few were from Jarred's.

"Oh, Emma!" Yuuki waved me down even though I was already headed towards them.

"You got to look at this!" Hana added in.

I walked over to the section of the room and looked down at the magazine. Imediately, I was at loss for words. If I remembered correctly, this was the same magazine Shiki and Aido worked for as models. But instead of them, there was Toran, Arashi, and Raki on the inside pages. The title across the pages all read 'Swimsuit Season is coming soon!'.

"I think my Toran looks so cute in this!" Hana joked.

I couldn't even respond to that.

"AH, guys! You showed her that!" came Toran's whinny voice.

The three guys were over by Akatsuki and Rima. Toran had turned away from their circle when he had noticed my face.

"That's disturbing." I said with a creeped-out tone.

"It's not like we had any choice. That was your crazy friend's idea of punishment!" Arashi cried out.

"I'm glad we didn't have to do that issue." Shiki said to Aido off on the side with his usual dull tone.

Raki, the other vampire who had gotten in trouble remained silent, but it was obvious he was embarressed. His face had turned the same color as his hair. 

"I'm laughing now, but if it had been my Kogeta I don't think I would be." Violet commented after she had some-what calmed down from laughing.

"Yuuki, do you mind if we talk somewhere alone?" I quietly slipped in as the others were chatting non-stop.

She said nothing, but nodded her head. Together, we left silently out of the room and into the hall.

"So has Kaname mentioned anything about Zero?" I asked her.

"Zero?" She asked, her mood sinking."He's been taken until they decide a punishment for him."

"What kind of punishment?" I pressed.

"I don't know. For a crime like his......I would guess death." she shrugged.

"Did he really do the crime at all?" I asked.

"I'm not sure. When Shizuka Hio was murdered, it was just her and the killer in the room. There was no witnesses." Yuuki admitted to me."I'm not even sure if they gave him a fair trial."

"Why wouldn't they?" I pressed.

"Well, he used to be a Level-E before I gave him some of my blood." She told me."Pureblood vampires tend to think of Level-Es as scum."

"He's being punished for a crime they haven't even proven him of doing?" I recapped.

Yuuki nodded her head. It didn't seem she wanted to talk much about her past lover. I began to turn and walk away when her voice stopped me.
