We were already on the plane, heading back towards Cross Academy. Whatever was happening at the school, Kaien had been pretty shook up about. He hadn't even tried to pull of his usual gay-happiness cover that he always did first before talking seriously. And for some reason, he had wanted to talk to me and not Kaito. I wondered why he had specially requested me.
I gazed around the cabin. I sat together with Kaito, Koien across from us staring out the window. The others in the group hung towards the back of the plane. All of us were impacient. We all had ties to Cross Academy that were dear to us. Not knowing the problem and not knowing how to fix it put us on edge.
Just then the speaker in the cabin announced that we were fourty five minutes from landing. In exhaustion, I laid my head on Kaito's shoulder. He gently wrapped his arm around my back.

An hour later

We were in the same airport that I had been in a week ago. I felt Kaito squeeze my hand.
"Calm your nerves. You're going to give us away." He whispered to me so softly only vampire ears could pick up.
I became confused by what he meant, but Kogeta cleared it up.
Your eyes turned ruby red from stress. He clearified.
I closed my eyes instantly and relaxed the muscles behind the lids. I felt the burn of them being red fade back. We continued walking down the platform until we were at the desk at the end. The lady didn't ask any questions and neither did any of the security. I knew Kaito was using his powers on them to make a quick escape to the cars. Once outside, we walked a little too fast for humans to the cars. They were in the spot they had been. Opening the door I discovered a slightly dusty smell that indicated the car had been sitting here for some time.
Everyone climbed into their respected cars. Kaito, Koien, and I climbed into Kaito's white sports car. Koegeta jumped into his red converatable sports car, followed by Toran and Arashi. Raki found his lean, white diamond dust sports car and got into the driver's seat. Violet and Hana were his passengers.
After everyone found their cars, we sped out onto the highway making a bee-line for Cross Academy. If the headmaster's message had been urgent and couldn't wait for us to get back, it meant that we were needed imediately. Thoughts spun inside my head. If Kaname Kuran's group couldn't handle it, and my older brother Jarred and his group couldn't handle it---how were we suppose to be of any help?
The country scenery flew passed me even faster than it had before going to the airport. This told me that Kogeta had tags on the cops and the area was clear. When we went through a couple of towns, I realized that we were near the academy. Soon we would know the kind of dire trouble the headmaster was in.
Today wasn't the best day to come flying in the round-about inside Cross Academy grounds. It was Wednsday and that meant classes were going on all over campus for the day class students. A few of the human guys paused and gave a thumbs up to the owner of the cars. Others stared in awe. If I could blush, I'd be beaming like a red tomatoe after it's been shined right about now. Mostly because while the boy's admired the cars...or the girls coming out of them....the girls on campus became envious. We left the scene imediately.
