The three freshman girls whose friends had supposively wondered into the old part of town led us to where they first lost sight of them. My friend Risa was able to find a path way to the old part of town near where the girls supposively went missing. So all three of us, Sam, Risa, and I headed into the narrow ally with flashlights that we bought to find the two lost Freshie girls.

I could see how the girls could get lost. The narrow ally had other allies that branched off of it and all of them looked the same. With the walls as tall as one story buildings it was imposible to see over them. We were truely in a maze.

As we walked along the main path, it seemed to get wider every few minutes. Sticking to the main path was our plan. We figured if we called out for the missing girls at each one of the allies that branched off the main path sooner or later one of them would answer. I becamed worried though, as I noticed the sunlight slowly dim. It was sunset and soon it would get dark.....and cold.

Then as the last bit of sun set we turned on our flashlights. We didn't want to use them too early, afraid that they'd go out too soon. I think Sam considered the flashlight her lifeline. As long as she had that flashlight the monsters wouldn't get her-----was probably what she was thinking. Risa was shivering though. She kept on telling Sam and I that it was just the cold getting to her, but it was most likely the thought of the monsters lurking about. My heart was racing and my palms were sweaty. I tried my best though, to make it look like I was calm.

Back on the last bus to Cross Academy

"I hope those three Juniors will be okay" said the short hair girl. She was nervous and she played with her hands.

"Well........" the blonde girl said. She felt guilty now for leading the three brave girls to their doom. "When we get back I'm going to tell the headmaster." she said in a quiet voice that wasn't like her personality.

"Yeah we'll come too" a bunch of other girls said. They wanted to make up for not being brave enough to help with the search.

"No. I'll do it. Alone." said the blonde girl with a sad voice.

"I'll go with you, Allison." said the short brown hair girl.

"You really don't have to do that Yori. I can manage on my own." Allison said.

"I'm coming with you and that's that." Yori said. She wanted to support her new friend as best she could.

Back in the ally

"I think we've really got lost now Risa. Honestly, you have no sense of direction. I don't even know how you convinced me to get off the main path." Sam said. She was still frightened to death, but her anger over Risa was keeping her busy.

"Yeah. I really think we should have stayed on the main path." I added. I kept my eyes searching for monsters.....just in case.

"Any body got a GPS?" Risa asked. She was trying to be humorus, but her words were shakey.

"This isn't time for jokes Risa! We're lost now and it's all because of you!!" Sam screamed. She was seriously angry.

"Please, be quiet" I whispered, but they didn't here me. I thought I had heard a soft sound coming from one of the cooridors.

"Don't take it out on me! You didn't have to follow me!!" Risa was screaming now too. Her face was all red. I couldn't tell if it was from the cold or from her screaming though.

I heard the noise again, a little louder than the first time, but there was something there.

"I'll be right back" I said in a normal voice. I wasn't sure if they heard me, but I needed to find out what that noise was.

Cross Academy

Knock, knock, knock, went the wooden door of the headmaster's office. The headmaster had been discussing something to Zero before, but fell silent when he heard the door knocking. He gathered himself, took a large breath, and spoke in a clear voice.

"Come in" said Kaien Cross, the headmaster of Cross Academy.

"Escuse us, but.....ummmm" said Allison. She was still not herself yet since the bus ride.

"Yes. Spill it out." the headmaster said paciently.

"Well......" Allison began again, hesitating a bit.

"What is it? We're buisy" said Zero in his emotionless voice.

"Two freshman girls went missing and three junoirs went after them and they didn't return for the last bus and it's all my fault!!" she blurted out so fast it was hard to understand.

"What!?" Zero and the headmaster said simotaneouslly with shocked voices.

"The two freshman girls hadn't been listening to the rules and got lost. Three juniors went to go find them, but didn't get back to the bus on time." Yori said calmly. She had faced worse than this. She could handle it.

The headmaster, by this time, had gotten to his feet and was on the phone.

"Yagari, I think we have a problem. Get to the town as fast as you can. I'll meet you there and I'll tell you the situation." the headmaster said in a calm, but frantic voice. He hanged up the phone and turned his attention to his students.

"Who were the Freshman girls who went missing?" he asked in a calm / worried tone.

"I think it was Katie Huntsman and Lauren Fae." Yori answered. She was trying to calm Allison down and convince her it wasn't her fault.

"And the three juniors?" he asked.

"Samantha Witherton, Terrisa Smith, and Emalene Kouya."

Yori replied. Allison was a bit calmer than before now.

"Thank you for telling me. Please head back to your dorm without stopping." the headmaster said in his serious tone. No need to frighten the students he told himself.

The two girls left the room, closing the door behind them.

"Emma" Zero said.

"Huh?" the headmaster asked puzzled.

"The wierd girl." Zero stated with a blank face.

"Ohh. Her." The headmaster said. He now saw that this girl Emma was going to be a future problem.
