After making it into the classroom, I'd realize it hadn't been the greatest choice to give Zero a smile. He was going to be forced into a trial that he would lose---recieving a punishment that he didn't even know about yet. This was the most information I had on his situation. For some reason or another, Kaito was holding something back from me. Even refusing to wait until I woke up to tell me he was leaving.

I tore my gaze away from the large window panes that revealed the moon behind them. Class was very boring, teaching the same subjects as I had learned as a human. Although, they did have a twist to them. The reason why human wars broke out---not because of human conflict, but because of vampire quarrels---was a bit intresting.

It just wasn't the main thing on my mind now. Ever since I had entered the classroom, I had been trying ot think of a way to get my older brother away from his group. By now it was obvious that Kaito wouldn't be returning until much later, so I had decided I would talk to my brother about our parents. However, he remained at the center of his group.

In my day-dreaming I didn't notice that members of my group had snuck out.

"Hey. Toran, Arashi, and Raki just left." Hana warned me quietly.

I sighed. I just didn't have as much authority over Kaito's group. The noble vampires under him considered me a friend or a little sister. Not a leader. I wondered what Kaito would do in this situation. Then I remembered back when Toran and Arashi had been up to no good. He had left it to the perfects to sort things out, which back then had been me. The topic made me wonder about who Kaien had replaced me with. Or if he had replaced me at all.

Kaito

Sitting in the meeting about what to do about Zero Kiyriu was the most boring thing I had ever done. The new council wasn't even going to bother giving him a winning chance. That's why we purebloods were here, representing our different familys, to decide his fate since he had murdered one of our fellow purebloods.

Zero had alledgedly killed Shizuka Hio. A silver haired vampress with light grey eyes. She had been the last of her clan, which made the crime even higher. There was second thoughts, of coarse, among the older vampires in the clan. No one had actually seen Zero kill Shizuka, but they were going on that she had cursed him so he killed her in revenge. That was that. And the adult members wouldn't accept any other reasoning.

Personally, I was torn on how I thought Zero should be punished. I would've loved to sentenced him to death so that I was sure Emma was completely mine, but then she would break down in tears if he died. The only thing I could think of was jail time. But if I said that, it would certainly be for life. And Emma wouldn't accept that either. She wouldn't allow her close friend to be condemmed on bad charges with no proof or witnesses. That was exactly why I hadn't told her the details.

And if I told her that Zero wasn't the real murderer, she would freak out.

Kaname Kuran had thought that only his group knew about who the real murderer was. That detail had been slipped when I arrived. Upon my enrollment to Cross Academy, I had wanted something to protect myself with if ever one of the other two purebloods tried to accuse me of something. Having a telepath on hand was the best card I had. I knew who the real killer was, known what he had done, and he didn't even know it.

Kogeta fed me the current arguement on the trial.

This was going to be a long meeting.

Toran

"Hey, we were just messing around. We weren't going to do anything to her." I said, throwing my hands up.

"Um, what exactly is going on?" the cute girl beside me asked. She was completely ignored.

"Hphm, like I'd believe that story." The new perfect girl said, crossing her arms.

"I think we've finally found the girl version of you, Toran." Raki joked from the back of the group.

"No way! I'm not like her!! (him!!)" Both the perfect girl and me chorused.

Arashi and Raki laughed their heads off while the cute girl looked cluelessly around.

With an angry grunt the girl started again."Listen, if you just go back to class I'll let you off."

"Okay." and I grabbed the girl under my arm and began dirrecting her back to my classroom.

"Hey!" the perfect girl yelled at me.

"Alright, alright, I'll let her go." I said, letting the cute girl wonder over to the perfect.

"Come on, let's go back." I said.

Together Arashi, Raki, and I began walking back to class.

"JERK!!!" she yelled at us.

"Thank you!" I said back, laughing a bit.

Eventually, Toran, Arashi, and Raki came slinking back into the classroom. The teacher took no notice as they took their seats once again. It was the end of class for him anyways, so he didn't care. The next teacher would come in and he would have to deal with the trouble makers.

It wasn't long until he gathered up his things and left the class for his next one. The teacher who would walk in next would surprise me although. Yagari-sensei, a teacher I had known as a human, walked into the class. He greeted the vampires close to him with sarcasim. The only subject I known him to teach was literature. A book in his hand confirmed that was exactly what he was going to teach to us. It didn't look like any of the vampires in my class had even read the book to start with. None of them had brought anything to class.

And there still wasn't any sign of Kaito.
