Rose~n~Vampire: Chapter 16

"Emma, do you have some kind of heart condition?" Kaito asked suddenly.

"No. Why?" I responded.

"Your heart. It was irregular for a beat." He said, concern still all across his face.

"And?" I said a bit moody.

"Don't you think you should have it checked out?" he pressed.

So under the pressure of Kaito being worried about me, I went to the medical room. As I entered I spotted Ren. His face was all cleaned up and he was sitting on the side of one of the beds. When he saw us though, he got up and left in a hurry.

I told the nurse that I needed to have my heart checked. Cross academy's medical room was more simular for a hospital. It was only like that because the nearest hospital was two towns over and the drive was long. The room had all the latest equipment.

I asked Zero and Kaito to leave. In order to have my heart checked I had to put one of the sucktion cup things dirrectly on my heart. They left the room, but hanged close by outside. I guess when it came to my well being they could get along.

The nurse checked my heartbeat and there was nothing wrong with it. No irregularities. I was in perfect health. The nurse said that my heart irregularities could be triggered by different things though. Like trama or stress. I removed the annoying sucktion cup and exited the room, glad that that was over.

"What was the results?" Kaito asked anxiously.

"My heart was fine on the monitor. The nurse thinks that the irregular heartbeat could be triggered by trama or stress." I said, but then saw his face."I'm fine, really!" I added imediately.

"Emma...." Zero began to say, concern in his voice.

"I'm fine." I said before he could get any farther."I better get back to class."

And with that I went to my math class without Zero. Speed walking so he couldn't catch up with me. I realized he could catch up if he wanted, but he hung behind me at least more than twenty feet. When I got closer to my math class I slowed my pace. Then I gently opened the door and I found Zero dirrectly behind me waiting for me to walk in.

"Come in." the teacher said when he saw me hanging out by the door.

I walked in at the sound of his voice and took my seat. Zero took his behind me and the teacher continued the leson. Being a perfect has its perks. Like not getting in trouble for being late to class. The teachers automatically think that the headmaster called for you or you had to stop a student who was getting in trouble.

There are two types of perfects at Cross academy. The normal Day class student perfects made sure the student body was in order and caught those who were getting in trouble. The other kind was Zero and I. The kind that was in the know and protected the Day class students from the Night class and made sure the Night class was in order.

Math class and studyhall went by fast and I joined up with Sam and Risa. Zero stopped walking beside me when I walked up with them. He didn't really like being around people unless he really had to.

Sam, Risa, and I went to the caffeteria and to have dinner. The academy was allowing students seconds today as a special offer because the riot had caused my lunch group to miss their lunch completely. Today the lunch ladies were serving a big serving of spegetti and a breadstick as a side.

"I'm sooooooo hungary!" Risa said as we were waiting in line.

"Risa, it's pronounced hungry." Sam corrected. She was a little bit of a perfectionist.

I picked up a tray and grabbed a plate of spegetti. Then I grabbed two breadsticks and a chocolate milk and headed for the cashier with Sam and Risa behind me. Once we had paid for our meals we went to walk to our table when a figure appeared in front of me. Luckly, I stopped before my tray could collide with his chest.
