At the very sound of the gun clicking, Kaito stopped his chanting and froze in place. He was in the worst situation to help me. His back was turned to the enemy giving them the advantage. I heard a shuffle of feet, the others trying to come to our resucue.

"Don't move, or I'll shoot." A familar voice said.

I hadn't dared to open my eyes since the gun's quiet click had gone through the room. But I didn't need them to know who the person was. It was Travis, the leader of a band of vampire hunters. He had come in at the worst possible moment. A flare of anger went through me. Why did he have to break us up again? If he hadn't come, then Kaito and I could have left in peace. No more fights needed. But no, of coarse the old geezer just had to ruin my happy ending. I felt my anger sweep through me and I wished with all my might that he would just fly out the window.

I opened my eyes slowly, and saw Travis across the room, only twenty feet from me. He seemed to be taken aback by something, but I couldn't figure out what. His full attention went back onto us and he pulled the trigger.

I set the gun to lock and load and the vampire that was holding the girl stopped shouting in joy. I saw his muscles tense, he was frozen. He didn't know what to do when his back was turned. I looked at the girl, her hair was now a silvery white. The color it was when I had first ran into her. So the vampire that held her in the embrace must have turned her into one in his desperation.

Then back of my mind paniced a little, I had no idea what she could do. If her ability was close combat I was safe, but if it was long range...I was doomed. But the girl kept her eyes closed, frightened maybe? I took a double take, her facial features were a little stiffened. She was angry that I had come back. Good, I thought to myself and grined. I raised the gun a little higher, I could shoot both of them through the heart. Two birds with one stone.

That was when the girl opened her eyes. They weren't the baby blue that I had seen while I had tortured her. Her eyes were an ice blue and it reminded me of her mother's. But they held something her mother hadn't. Her mother's eyes had been ice blue pools that had been frightened at me when I had pulled the trigger. The girl's eyes were as cold as ice and held eye ounce of anger she could muster into them. She wanted me gone, and now.

The room began to fill with a soft, ice cold breeze that became stronger each second. If I didn't shoot them now, her power would manifest and kill me. I took aim and fired.

I thought that the bullets had went right through us with no pain at all, but I was surprised to see them spinning in mid-air at a fast pace a few feet in front of us. The held there, not moving an inch forward or backward as if they were waiting for my command. Meanwhile a cold wind whipped through the room, causing the drapes at the windows to copy the wind's motions. The others seemed confused as well. Travis stood in place at the bullets. The three other vampires were staring in amazement. Had I been the one to stop the bullets? Was this my power?

Part of me wanted to jump for joy at the fact I had discovered what I could do. Another wanted me to play with my powers a little bit more to see what I could really do. But then another part wanted me to use my newfound powers to crush Travis. And I agreed on the third, the anger I had towards him was still there. My mind began to wonder what I should do to him first. I could make him fly out the window like I had wanted earlier.

Hey, we'll need him for questioning. So, don't rough him up too much. A voice inturupted me.

It almost made me lose my concintration. The bullets fell a few inches.
