I woke up and took a nice hot shower. Once I was finished, I dressed in my other set of academy clothes and picked up my bag and left for the school day. Sam was still sleeping. Which was a shocker because usually she wakes up before me.
When I came out of my dorm room into the hallway, Risa was waiting and she began to walk with me.
"That was the best night's sleep I ever had! I slept like a rock!" she exclaimed as we went down the steps.
I gave a small laugh and her face turned toward me.
"What's so funny?" she asked, laughing herself.
"I was just thinking of Sam's sleeping face, that's all." I lied.
"Why? What did she look like this time?" Risa said, smiling.
"She was sucking her thumb like a baby while curled up in the fedal position." I said, breaking into laughter.
Risa broke out laughing too."I wonder what she was dreaming of........spiders?
Sam was deathly afraid of spiders. Everyone knew that. She would wail and scream when she saw one even if it was a just a baby spider. She would hop up on her desk and scream her head off until one of us, Risa or I, got her calmed down.
As we neared the main building, a group was forming on the side walk near the street. They were waiting for something. Risa and I ignored the mob and went inside to our English class. We sat there talking for a while until we looked out of the window to notice a limo pulling up in front of the mob. The mob parted and a few figures climbed out of the limo. Three to be exact. Two looked like body guards and the third was inbetween them. They headed in the direction of the headmaster's office.
"The new transfer student." I thought out loud.
"He's the transfer student. Looks like he'll be a snob."
"Watch your language, Risa." Yagari said from his desk as he shifted through files.
"I said," she emphasised,"He will!" she shouted back at Yagari-sensei.
Risa had become the but of the jokes for Yagari. He loved to tease her because she was his favorite student. She kept the class awake in the morning hours with her humor.
~"~
The lesson went by quickly and class soon came to a close. None of us had really paid attention though because of the transfer student hovering in the back of our minds. I finally got a chance to meet him at lunch.
I was walking with Sam and Risa to our usually table that we ate at. We sat down and began to chat about the day so far until I felt that someone's eyes were on my back. I turned my head gingerly around to peek, trying not to look like I was staring.
It was the transfer student. He was surrounded by a crowd, but I could see him through a break in it. Girls were giggling at his side as he told a funny joke. He spotted me looking at him and smiled and gave me a click and a wink.
Ughhhhhh,
I thought and a shudder went down my spine. Sure he might be handsome, but his personality and mine didn't match. He's a snob alright, I thought. The kind that thought that because they were rich they can get anything.
I heard the sound of a chair moving back so a person could get up from behind me. Ohhh nooo, please no, not me! was my first reaction. Sam and Risa had seen the total creep wink at me too and they were preparing themselves. They didn't want to be his next target either.
