The room was lit dimly by a shaded lamp. Two large doors served as the headmaster's office's entrance. A large desk was placed at the back of the room with a large windows behind it, letting moonlight in. Zero sat in the oak chair glancing around the large room. He didn't know how many times he had stepped in the large office. The headmaster sat in front of him behind the large desk. He was quietly sipping a cup of coffe with his eyes closed savoring the moment.
"You said that you think something is wrong with the girl you ran into earlier today?" the headmaster sighed.
This was all he needed. Another problem. He set his coffe down and leaned back in the chair; admiring the room. The new paint smell flooded his nose. Remodeling Cross Academy had took longer than expected, they had hardly finished before the new school year started.
"That's right. Her heartbeat was irregular when I passed her in English class and then again, not too long ago, when the night class came out of their dorm." Zero replied.
He shifted in his chair. He didn't like to mention the night class. For his father, no, the headmaster to let him stay in the day class was atonishing. Drinking Yuuki's blood cured him from completely becoming a level-E, but he still had to fight the urge off every time he glanced at a young girl's neck. That's why he shoved everyone away with his hatred, so they would be safe from him. He could never drink another human's blood again; not because he couldn't---he didn't want to see the look on their face, and because it would deffinately get the headmaster in trouble.
"Could you explain to me again, how this is important Zero?" the headmaster asked.
"The girl's heart started to speed up with every step the night class took towards her. She couldn't bear it and left. At first she walked calmly, but when she was out of human sight she started to run."
Human sight he repeated in his head. How he longed to be human again, how he could have went on along side his departed brother. But the peace would not have lasted. Zero was the son of vampire hunters, and inclined to take on the family buisiness.
The headmaster, Kain Cross, sighed again. This was going to get messy, depending on the situation. If the girl new about vampires, her memory would have to be erased. But if she had encountered vampires earlier in her life time.........well, he'd have to make her a perfect. Thoughts getting confused in his head.
Zero saw the headmaster close his eyes and take a large breath. It got akward with the long silence.
"Maybe she had a large test she was worring about, and that made her frantic because, you know, you don't want to fail your first test do you? or maybe she...." headmaster Kain said in a cheerful, gay mood.
He noticed Zero was staring at him like he does when he tries to change the atmosphere. Instantly he dropped it. This wasn't going to get him to leave. He picked up a new, serious tone. He would end the matter and put the problem to rest.
"I don't think this inccident is anything to worry about, Zero, but if you notice this happens a FEW more times---then come to me."
He doubted that it would arise again anyways. Zero left the room at a slow pace, taking his time to close the door behind him. The headmaster let out a sigh-----it would be a long school year.
~"~ Meanwhile back at the dorms.
I entered my room that I shared Sam. Onmy side was a bed covered in a blue colored bedspread, a dark brown dresser, and a small desk to do homework at and usemy labtop on. Sam's side however, consited of a bed with a pink bedspread, a little whitestanding closet, and a book shelf that was tightly filled. The door that led to the bathroom was on Sam's side. Since the remodel, each dorm room had it's own bathroom. But they only had one sink, one toilet, and a small shower.I set my bag down by my desk and went to my dresser.I took out a gown that my mother gave me. The gown went all the way down tomy ankles, had long, silky sleeves, and was a peach color. Personally,I didn't care for it-----it was my mother's idea even though I said that I would be fine with pajama shorts and a T-shirt for a top.
I went to the bathroom with the new set of clothes and changed out of my school uniform, leaving it in the laundary basket. Hopping in the steamy shower,my muscles began to relax bit by bit. I heard the dorm's room door open and close, Sam was back. Getting out of the shower, I dried myself with my blue towel and dressed. Opening the door,I found that Sam had already jumped in bed and fallen asleep.
Darn,I said to myself, I could of stayed in the shower longer. Following Sam's lead I climbed into my own bed, but couldn't fall asleep.I began to think about the day's events. The strange beating in my heart, what was that?I had never felt anything like that before. And why did it start to increase when the night class came close to me?
Thoughts began to turn inside my head until I relized it was 11:30. I closed my eyes and relaxed.
~"~
"Morning sleepy head!"
I was immediatly hit in the head with a pillow. I began to slowly wake up, taking in a big breath i forced my eyes open. Sam was standing already in uniform beside my bed withher hands on her hips. She had a smile on her face. I threw the pillowback at her and sat up in my bed.
"You better hurry,we have classes in fifteen minutes and it takes ten just toget to the main building"
I practically leaped out of bed, ran to the bathroom and threw on my uniform in a split second. I ran my brush through my long brown hair. It was naturally straight so i hardly had to do anything to it. And since I didn't wear make-up that saved me time.
"Hurry, Hurry or I'll leave you" Sam teased.
"Shut-up, I'm hurring already"
Grabbing my boots and shoving them on, I sprung off by bed and snatched my books. From there, Sam and I ran out the dorm---ignoring the threats from the day-time perfect boy (who is absolutely annoying) to write us up----to the main building. We managed to each of our classes within the minute bell. I sat down, glad I made it in time. But I noticed there was one thing missing.
Then all of the sudden the two doors of my English classroom flew open as the last bell rang for tardiness.
"I'm here!! whaaa, whoahhh!!" a voice said.
The voice tripped and fell on her face, but none the less got up, brushed herself off,and laughed histerically along with the class---the teacher seemed amused too.
"Had a nice sleep-in Risa?" said our teacher, Toga Yagari.
"Hehe" said my friend Risa with a weak laugh.
"You can take a seat. I will forgive you for today, but next time---be on time."
Risa took her seat by me and the lesson started.Half way through the lesson though I began to get dizzy and light-headed. I raised my hand.
"Excuse me, Yagari-sensei, can I go get a drink of water?"I said as polietly as possible.
"Sure, just go quickly. Do you know where the water fountain is?" he said this without even turning around.
"Umm, no" I said quitely and innocently.
"Go all the way down the hallway to the end and take a right then follow that hallway until the first intersection, turn left and it's right there."he said.
Then he began to pick up theclass where he left off, ignoring me as if i had never broken up the lesson.I got up and left the class. The dizziness began to get worse as I went down the hallway and I noticed I got slower every couple steps. My eyes began to get heavy, it was too late to go back to class to sit down. I told myself once I made it to the water fountain and got a drink I would be fine. But then I passed out and fell to the ground with a heavy thud before I even reached the end of the first hallway. On my way down though, I though I saw Zero walking down the hallway towards me.
Not him again I thought and then the world went black around me.

I'll show you a sweet dream next night~
