Lily and Lizzie decided to take Callie and Gabriel to Lizzie's place. Her house is more suitable for more people and while Lily's apartment did have a guest room, they knew Lizzie's house would be more comfortable and spacious.

Callie and Gabriel tried to object but Lily wasn't going to have them find a hotel at such last minute.

Lily excused herself the moment they entered and went straight to Lizzie's master bedroom and locked herself in the bathroom.

"Leave her," Callie tells Lizzie not unkindly, who made a move to run after her. "I know my little sister. She needs some time."

Lizzie nods, fighting the urge to want to be close to Lily. She knew her own love language is touch and Lily's isn't but she hoped Lily could find comfort in her. They never went through something so serious, not even when they fought over going public, so she trusted Callie's advice and left her be. Maybe time and being alone is the only thing that she needs.

"I'll show you the guest bedroom," Lizzie says, gesturing up the stairs.

Callie gives her a thankful nod and the pair follow her up. Gabriel carries their luggage up and Lizzie leaves them to settle in while Lizzie went down and made some hot drinks for everyone. It's too late for coffee so she made some tea and hot chocolate.

Soon Callie and Gabriel join Lizzie in the living room on the couch.

"Sorry, better late than never but I'm Callie," Lily's sister says, extending her hand.

Lizzie takes it and replies, "I'm Lizzie."

"This is my fiance Gabriel but I'm sure you've been acquainted."

Lizzie nods. "A bit."

"So, what happened?" Callie asks.

"It's...hard to summarize," Lizzie says, uncertain of where to start. It felt like it was a suffocating evening and the only time she felt a breath of fresh air is when they literally were not in the house walking Crashie.

"Walk me through it," Callie requests kindly. Her patience is unmatched.

Lizzie nods and takes a deep breath. She runs through the night as best as she can starting with meeting Elyse and talking with Peter and how he kept calling her a friend despite Lily specifically introducing her as her girlfriend. She explains the dinner and the back and forth Lily had with Peter. And then ends with to them walking out on dinner.

Callie leans back into her fiance's arms with a heavy sigh. "We should have taken the earlier flight."

"There's nothing you could have done," Lizzie says, trying to pull any blame that she may have for herself.

"I could have mediated the two of them," Callie sighs. "Lily needs me there for support and often time to stand up to our dad. I'm sure you know but she seems all tough and unbreakable from the outside but she's a big softie on the inside."

Lizzie nods in agreement. The times that Lily has been vulnerable with her are the times she loved the most. She's the most sweetest and lovable person in those moments.

"She acts like things don't bother her but she cares a lot about what people think," Callie tells Lizzie.

"Like the media," Lizzie mutters.

Callie nods. "She used to read all the articles that had her name in it. She read all the comments that were left on her posts or the tweets or DMs. She told me she stopped obsessing over it because of you so I have to thank you for that."

"I didn't do anything," Lizzie shakes her head.

"You've done more than you know for her," Callie says. "For that, I'll always be grateful."
