Lizzie and Lily fall into a routine for the next month. They wake up together and go to sleep together. They alternate between their homes, eventually having half of each other's things in the other's home like their clothes. In the morning, Lily drops off Lizzie at work and in the afternoon, she picks her up.
Lizzie usually cooks them breakfast and Lily often picks up take out for dinner knowing the late days of working would be too strenuous for Lizzie. When Lizzie gets off early or on the weekends, they take advantage of the extra time to cook together.
Despite them going into the summer, they have little opportunity to enjoy it. With Lizzie working on 'Sorry For Your Loss' and getting close to wrapping up the production, Lily has been spending all day looking for other agencies or researching how to manage herself as an actress. With each day that passed without word from Joseph on a new job, she grew impatient and frustrated. She had to take matters into her own hands.
Thankfully, Hailee had reached out to distract her for today. They had planned to go skydiving for a few weeks now and it's finally come around.
So after Lily dropped off Lizzie, which she kindly reminded Lizzie that she would be hanging out with Hailee and jumping off a plane, she drove to pick up Hailee at her home. It took all her convincing to see if Lizzie wanted to tag along but she adamantly refused saying her heart wouldn't be able to withstand that scare.
"Get in loser, we're going to jump off a plane!" Lily shouts as Hailee bounds down the front steps towards her car.
Hailee laughs as she gets in. "Hello, lovely. How was your morning?"
"It's good. I got my ear nagged off by Lizzie, but otherwise it was great," Lily laughs.
"What's there to nag about?"
"She's just worried something will go wrong," Lily shrugs as she pulls out onto the street. "She said I had to check in every hour up until the jump and then immediately after we land. She's been reading up on statistics about skydiving and watching informational videos all day yesterday."
"I think it's sweet," Hailee says. "She really cares for you."
"Oh I love that she cares," Lily says, "but I had to hear all about the safety and dangers of skydiving. Did you know less than one person dies out of over 100,000 jumps?"
"That's. . .good to know," Hailee laughs.
"It was more likely that I died this morning driving Lizzie to work than what we'll be doing within the next two hours."
"She's still worried after finding that out?" Hailee asks.
"Worried doesn't begin to explain it," Lily laughs. "She googled the place we're going to, the instructors that we might be jumping with, the plane model, the route we would be flying, and so much other information I can't remember. I'm pretty sure she probably knows what the instructor ate for breakfast this morning."
Hailee laughs at her comment just as Lily's phone dings from the phone stand on the dashboard. Lizzie's name flashes across the screen covering the top quarter of the map.
"What's it say?" Lily asks.
Hailee reaches over and opens up the notification. "She asks, 'Did you pack extra underwear?' Why would she –"
"She thinks I'll pee my pants jumping off the plane," Lily explains. "Tell her I won't be peeing my pants but also, yes I did."
"You did not!" Hailee exclaims.
"I packed you one too," Lily says. "I know you didn't pack one yourself."
"I won't be peeing my pants!" Hailee shouts. She texts Lizzie back and replaces the phone on the dashboard.
