The week passes by quickly. Though they don't get to meet up often, they call each other every night. The first few nights after their second date, they would get on a video call where Lizzie would guide her how to cook a few simple dishes. Although they weren't together, they had fun nonetheless.

Lizzie often had to put in late nights but Lily kept her company on the phone, whether she was just listening, allowing Lizzie to bounce ideas off her, telling stories or keeping the conversation alive to keep Lizzie awake, or just staying on the phone in silence helped her grind through the week and finish all her tasks so that it warranted a week vacation.

They talked about the week vacation together and they decided to stay in at Lily's apartment to spend time together. They talked about traveling somewhere but they didn't have much time to plan it out and decided it would be good to relax in between a busy time for Lizzie.

Even though they don't live far apart from one another, Lizzie insisted on staying over if Lily didn't mind, which of course she didn't. So that Friday morning Lily drove over to Lizzie's house to pick her up.

Lily knocks on the front door.

"Good morning, cutie," Lizzie greets when she swings the door open. Already, Lily has to take a moment to admire her. She's not wearing anything special – just a simple turtleneck and jeans – but she is still stunning.

"Again with that," Lily sighs when she comes to. "We're definitely changing that this week."

"Why?" Lizzie asks. "You haven't grown to love it yet?"

"Let's just say I'm not the biggest fan of that pet name," Lily answers and notices two huge suitcases sitting by the front door. She points down at them, "You're bringing all this? For one week?"

"Oh, no. That's not mine," Lizzie says and gestures for her to enter the house further. "My luggage is in the living room."

Lily follows her to the living room where she sees a smaller luggage the size of a carry on sitting on the couch. "Then who's luggage is at the front door?"

Lizzie hesitates for a moment, clearly choosing her words carefully. "They are my roommate's."

"Roommate?" Lily asks, an eyebrow cocked up in curiosity. "I thought you owned this house."

"I do," Lizzie confirms. "I've just been helping out a friend. He needed a place to stay and I have an extra room so I let him stay for a while."

"Oh."

"But he's leaving soon," Lizzie adds quickly. "That's why you see the luggages at the front door."

"Oh okay," Lily says, accepting the answer.

"Are you mad?" Lizzie asks, fidgeting with the rings on her finger.

"Why would I be mad?" Lily asks. Surprising to Lizzie, she doesn't seem bothered by her answer in the slightest. "It's your house. It's your friend. I think that's really nice to help them out when they need it."

"Even if it's a guy?" Lizzie asks.

"What's it matter if it's a guy?" Lily asks and then it clicks "Oh, you mean if you guys like. . .are together or something?"

"I mean. . .yeah?"

"Well. . .are you?" Lily asks. "Together with him?"

"No!" Lizzie quickly denies.

"Then what's the problem?" Lily asks. "I trust you."

Lizze is at a loss for words and Lily's answer made her feel guilty. So instead of saying anything, she steps forward and pulls Lily into a hug. "You're amazing."
