As it came close to summer, Lily and Lizzie nailed down all the details of their wedding.

Lily had finally finished filming her movies so a lot of time was spent with Lizzie and working out all the kinks and minor details.

Lily picked out a nice dress with Hailee, her maid of honor, before January was over. The process of looking at dresses and trying them on repeatedly was more cumbersome than she liked, but it was because none of the dresses were right. Until she put on the dress. It was perfect and they only needed a little bit of tailoring to get it perfect to her body.

Lily didn't know if Lizzie got a dress, but Lizzie didn't seem stressed over it. She spent a lot of time with Scarlett when she wasn't with Lily so Lily could only assume that she did. They didn't tell each other, an unspoken secret meant to be kept until the wedding day.

In the middle of February, they celebrated Lizzie's birthday. Lily surprised her with ice skating, despite Lily's fear and lack of grace, and a fancy dinner. Lizzie appreciated Lily's effort and had a blast. They ended the night at the top of Griffith's Observatory with some sparkling juice and watching the city sparkle beneath them and the stars glimmer above them.

The months passed and the urge to start their family only grew stronger. Lizzie decided that she wanted a baby...fast. She was already 33 years old and she's heard that after 30, it just becomes more difficult. And the older you were, complications may arise so she decided she wanted to start on it.

So she looked into it and after extensive research, she compiled a slideshow and prepared her argument. When Lily came home one April afternoon, Lizzie made her case.

"So, I know some big things are happening in the next few months," Lizzie started as she seated Lily on the couch and propped the laptop down on the coffee table. Lizzie paced back and forth, her hands shaking with nervousness. She could barely speak without stuttering. "Dr. Strange is coming out...our wedding...Haven 2...TV shows for the both of us..."

"I'm aware of our schedule and releases," Lily giggles. "Please continue."

"Okay, okay. Don't rush me," Lizzie says, biting her bottom lip a little too hard and then having to lick it to sooth the ache. "It's not a great time. It might never be a good time. We're both busy and I understand that you're at the height of your career."

"Babe, you're rambling again."

"Sorry," Lizzie says and bites her lip again. Twiddling with her fingers, she decides to sit down to try to calm her nerves. Then deciding she couldn't sit still, she got up again. And then took a seat again.

Lily took Lizzie's fiddling hands and gave her an encouraging smile. "Don't be nervous to tell me. I won't judge or be mad. I promise." She pulls Lizzie's lip from between her teeth and pushes gently between her eyebrows until the creases disappear.

With her lip feeling raw and numb, Lizzie opts to chew on the inside of her cheek. She ultimately gives up on speaking so she clicks the laptop so the slideshow begins.

The first slide is a big, plump baby with brown eyes. Rolls and rolls of skin and squishy baby flab covers the baby's body.

"It's a...baby," Lily says slowly, not quite understanding why Lizzie is showing her a cute baby. It was just a photo, no words.

Not trusting herself to speak, Lizzie moves onto the next slide revealing a stock image of a pregnant lady. Then the next showing a lesbian couple smiling down at a baby.

The next few slides actually have words. Lizzie, by no means, was the best at making a powerpoint, but she could put words on a slide and a background photo so that's what she did. She had intended to speak and present her case, but words failed to come to her mouth so she let Lily read through them.
