George POV.

“So what clothes do you like to wear?” Karl questioned, looking over at me as we walked along on the upper floor, glancing at every shop window that we passed.
“I don’t mind.” I responded, doing the same as him and looking into every shop as we began our clothes shopping spree.

Although I bet the two of us were looking for different reasons. He was probably trying to see what options were there for him to wear, I was looking to try and find which place would be the best to run into. So far I had come up with the idea of convincing Karl and Sapnap to head downstairs and take me into a large department store. There had to be a place to hide in there.

“Are you sure that you don’t mind?” Karl continued to pester me, raising his eyebrow slightly as he did. “Because there is a lot of stuff here, is there nothing you prefer?” He motioned at the shop we were currently in front of. I shrugged, since I had no other options so we went in there.

Sapnap had been walking a few feet behind the pair of us, probably in case I tried to make a run for it. However he was still wearing the mask around the lower half of his face, and somehow that wasn’t getting any curious looks from shoppers and shop keepers. I didn’t understand why that was happening but I didn’t question it.

“Do you want to wear hoodies?” The taller brunette questioned, motioning over to one section of the store as we continued to walk. “Or a shirt? Or a pair of shorts? Or maybe even some skirts if you wanted?” I sent him a confused look at the last option. Why would I want to wear a skirt?

Neither seemed to notice, and since I didn’t answer they just began walking towards a row of shirts along the back wall. Karl began to ask me what size I was, looking over the row at the different options. While he was focusing on that I walked up and looked at the price tag of one of the shirts, and my eyes nearly bulged.

“This shirt is almost ninety dollars!” I exclaimed, clearly surprised. I turned to Karl and Sapnap who were now watching me and told them, “I don’t have enough money for this.”
Sapnap shrugged, “we know that.” He told me, “Dream is using his money to pay.”

“Yeah,” Karl agreed with the ravenette. “He’ll pay for your clothes and then whatever it costs will be added to your debt.” Of course that was the case… Karl seemed to notice something and he grabbed a purple shirt off of its hanger. “I think that this would look cool on me,” he stated, before noticing a blue shirt of the same design beside it. “Look, we could match!”

Him suggesting that gave me an idea, a way to get out of here, and so I smiled at him. “You’re right Karl,” I stated. “Maybe we should go to the changing room so that we can make sure that they both fit.” Karl didn’t seem to realise what I was planning to do as he agreed, and I grabbed a couple random shirts along with the blue one to bring with me.

The taller brunette did the same thing, having about five shirts for himself to try on and I followed without objecting to the far corner of the store. All the while I glanced around, playing it off as looking for anything else to try on when in all actuality I was just looking for where I could run when I made a break for it.

It wasn’t the flashest changing room either, but Karl stepped into one of the changing rooms and I stepped into another one. But while Karl was probably trying on everything he grabbed, I sat listening. It seemed like hours passed as I waited for the right opportunity to make a break for it, and thankfully the opportunity arose.

“Hey Sap, do you think this green shirt suits me?” Karl questioned, and I heard the sound of the changing room door opening immediately afterward. This was my chance.
I opened the door as quickly and quietly as possible, glancing in the direction of the changing room beside mine to see Sapnap and Karl both standing inside.

Without hesitating for a moment longer I sprinted off, weaving between the shoppers who all gave me confused looks, and trying not to bump into clothing racks. Eventually I ran out of the store and began sprinting towards the escalators, planning on finding mall security somewhere on the way and explaining the situation.

From behind me I could hear Sapnap shouting, calling my name and that scared me, partially because of how close he seemed to be, and because of how he knew my name even though I don’t remember telling him what my name was. But no matter what he was screaming at me and how tired I was I kept running.

There was a crowd of people watching, and if this had been under any other circumstance I would have been embarrassed as hell, however right now I had more to worry about. I sprinted down the escalator, trying not to trip as they continued to move as I hurried down them. From the corner of my eye I could see Sapnap following behind me.

My eyes caught on someone else though, when I had whipped my gaze back around I saw a member of mall security walking around. His eyes had caught on the commotion and seemed to be trying to figure out what was going on and if he should step in or not.

“Please help!” I called at him, waving my arms to get his attention as I raced over to him, still being conscious of where the ravenette was. “Please, I've been kidnapped!” That’s when I reached the mall officer, and by ‘reached’ I mean I almost collided with him. Sapnap slowed to a stop at the sight of security, and I couldn’t help but feel relieved, knowing this was all over now.

“Why are you chasing this man?” The mall security guy asked, stepping in front of me to protect me from the ravenette, who surprisingly enough didn’t seem scared. The fact that I had gotten away and one of my captors wasn’t surprised or worried didn’t seem like a good sign.

“I am sorry for the issue officer,” Sapnap apologised, seeming genuine as he did. “That is my step brother George. He has delusional disorder. I had brought him to the mall to go shopping with my friend, we were wanting to get George some new clothes for his birthday. He had an episode and began freaking out. He ran off before I could do anything.”

‘Surely this mall cop wouldn’t believe that,’ I thought to myself, still staying behind the officer as he listened to what Sapnap had said. The ravenette continued though, and I watched as Karl appeared behind him. “I have a certificate that proves it’s true. I left it in the car because I didn’t think George would go into a panic today. If you come with me I can show you…”

“If you have the certificate then you can bring it to the security desk near the entrance.” The officer responded. “I will not be letting this young man go with you unless you can bring it to me. If you don’t have your certificate then I suggest you leave the premises before I arrest you both.”

I couldn’t help but smile at what was said, watching Sapnap and Karl exchange a glance before walking off. The officer watched them leave before leading me towards the security desk. Once I sat down he gave me a bottle of water and a chocolate chip cookie. He didn’t say anything to me though, since before he got the chance his walkie talkie went off, calling him away.

Ten minutes passed of me waiting awkwardly, trying to figure out what I should do now that I was free. Obviously I couldn’t stay in L’manburg, not with a mafia that had kidnapped me. So maybe I’d go back to the UK.

Before I could plan everything out I heard the mention of my name, I lifted my head up before my face paled as I saw Sapnap and Karl walking with the security guard. Along with them, Dream was also walking, his mask hiding however he was feeling as he said something to the guard.
