At world's end and all that is left is the shadow swallowing it whole - but in my mind, I know... that it isn't my end. It is yours.
I reach the same place where they usually hang out to see there are quite a few people here, though Evelynn is sitting right near the edge already in a conversation with two other people that I don't know.
I walk up to them as Eve looks at me as if she knew I was there. "Took your time," then gesturing to the two in front of her, "The tall guy that can talk your ear off is Yasuo."
He gestures a greeting with his head. "Sup?"
"Sup, (Y/N)."
Then the girl standing with her arms crossed flashes me a quick smile, "Riven," then back to her resting face. "Wasn't there to see it but congrats on being the Champion of Arena one."
Yasuo then states, "Not like it is something to be excited about, just makes you a target."
Evelynn chuckles, "At least he keeps looking at all the silver linings."

(Just ignore the obvious rabbit things - I like the outfit on Riven which is why I chose this one. Or if that is for you, feel free to imagine her with it lmao)
She then looks at me. "These two are third years, and before you ask they are not dating."
"Why... would I ask that?"
Riven sighs, "Ignore her."
Yasuo adds, "And no, we aren't dating."
Eve then lifts her shoulders. "Heard you two were going to get your team on the job that was suddenly redacted, got any news on that?"
"It was about a serial killer apparently, they pulled it back because they have someone far more capable of dealing with him for the moment. A detective that has been on his trail for years now."
Mom? There's no other person I can think off.
Yasuo then breathes out, "Also heard the headmaster claiming that if we ever get it back it would be our first ever 10-star job in the history of this project existing. They've never had a job too hard to complete that it would need an entire school of people."
Evelynn narrows her gaze. "Makes you think what kind of a human is that powerful and scary that the Headmaster would rather let the police handle it instead of us? The people that train to solve those problems."
Riven answers, "I think it is an exaggeration."
Yasuo looks at her, "Or a real threat."
"We will see if it comes back with a higher rating then I'll believe that whoever this serial killer is, that he is a major threat."
Eve then looks at me. "How was your day?"
"Manageable," I breathe out. "The classes aren't as boring as I thought they'd be and the addition of having plenty of free time to train and waste all of that time talking to people is nice."
