"What's the point of this?" She calls out to me. Their forces acted quickly with most of them managing to rally despite the display of shadows that enclosed us into a small confined space... if they were to run they'd surely die trying to escape.
"I can't risk being interrupted another time," I state. Erica is standing awkwardly between the groups. "Troy dies before the day ends and you can choose whether or not this place will be your grave."
Troy's sister glances at Troy who is watching me with pleading eyes and then back at me with a glare. "I'll take my chances with you, I don't care that you survived this place but hating someone doesn't justify killing them."
"Does revenge count?"
"Trying to prove you are better than someone starts with turning the other cheek!"
I shake my head at her. "Don't misunderstand, there's no need of wanting to be better. I just need him to see that I am partially grateful to him, and want him to see what he made. That the games he played turned me into what I am now."
"A villain then? You'll die before you make it far!" There's an attempt to reason with me, but I am done playing games with these people and I refuse to play Azrael's twisted games. "What about the people you care about?"
"Does that make me the monster if others go after the people that did nothing?" I ask her.
"Think, I am begging you to think this through before we take this any further."
"Buying time won't work." I send a shadow that travels towards Troy. I reach through the Shadow and I teleport in place of the shadow only to have his Sister shove him out of the way and be grabbed instead.
Her arms shoot out sharp blades into my torso that chip at the shadow armor. I kick her away from me only for her body to catch flame. A bolt of fire whirled past me and struck her in her chest.
Troy's sister is clutching to her chest, she's breathing heavily from both the impact and having to catch the attack thrown by Erica. I ignored her hoping that Erica would buy me enough time to kill Troy.
Three people run towards me and from the shadows, Memory dashes through them like a Reaper's sprint. Their bodies fold in each other with blood pooling on the ground, bystanders that had no intention of fighting all retreat to the walls of shadows only for Nox's head to appear out of it and pull them inside to be torn apart.
"You merciless bastard."
"Fresh out, in fact," I lock onto him. "I'd suggest fighting back, it might just encourage me to make this quick for both of us."
"Leave my Sister out of it."
"I would... but you couldn't leave me out of your problems."
I close the distance using the shadows, his eyes light up in horror lifting his arms in defense. I instead shove him backward, to gaud him into attacking me. He reveals the blades growing out of his arms and charges me. I step backward to dodge the first slice that tears through my shadows like a bullet traveling through the smoke.
His next slice is an upward slice aiming for my jaw. I elbow his attack to the side and place a kick into his thigh and just as he stumbles to the side I drive my heel into the back of his knee to force him to the ground.
His scream of pain makes me smirk. I step off of him and kick him in the shoulder which knocks him to his behind. He scrambles back to his feet but his leg is limp from the pain, there's probably not enough adrenaline or fight in him to even want to attempt fighting back.
"I should have killed you instead."
I shake my head at him. "You wouldn't have been able to back then, and even if you did you'd never have gotten away with it. Should've left well enough alone."
