Meeting up with the rest of the group Ahri pretty much disappears into the larger group while I head straight towards Eve and Erica who are in the middle of a conversation. I stop right next to them.

"Hey, you two."

Eve then smiles up at me, "Don't even need to go and find you."

Erica greets me, "Hey."

I look at Eve, "I mean it isn't like the first time I got here, I actually have a lot of friends around here."

"And enemies."

"Trying to focus on the positives here Eve."

"Okay~" she then sneaks in a hug, "Though you somehow manage to just get the wrong people's attention locked onto you."

Countering, "You are one of them."

"Rude. Starting to regret having you around."

"You were happy to see me just a moment ago."

"Quickly changing that yourself."

"What did I do?"

"What didn't you do?" she counters.

"I have obligations?"

"Obviously," she rolls her eyes, then looks at Erica, "How did you deal with this kid?"

She then awkwardly chuckles, "Uhh..."

"See?" Eve looks back at me, "Your fault."

I don't look at Eve, I just think Erica is having a hard time getting into it - the air between us might be a little bit better than before but it isn't like she can just jump into it... even though it looks like she is thinking of a way to do it.

I glance at Eve who winks at me, "You two are boring."

"Huh?"

"Bye," she walks away.

I then glance at Erica, "You okay?"

She nods with a slight smile, "Yeah - kind of awkward. Probably overthinking it a bit."

I then sit down near her, "Erica-"

She stops me, "I am fine," then with a giggle, "How are you? You okay?"

I chuckle as I shake my head at her, "Smooth."

"If this is going to turn into a thing where you get a kick out of me being awkward and start bullying me then this is quickly going to turn into me bringing up the past openly in front of everyone."

I stop her, "Woah okay you don't have to do that - I kind of like the relationships with the people right now without them having to know a smidge about my past."

"Then don't bully me."

"I wasn't," I chuckle, "I'm good, just pretty tired. Swung by to see your fight with that Miriko girl earlier today."

"You did?" she chuckles, "It was more a friendly spar trying to figure out ranges of her abilities because she is trying to adapt to her new fighting style."

I then remark, "You've gotten a lot stronger - even though your power was pretty destructive back then."

She then groans, her face slightly red, "Its... I am trying very hard. Dad says I am more of a dragon than a phoenix - that there isn't anything graceful about it and just pure destruction. Kind of irks me that I can't get the healing side of it down."

"Sounds just like him," I chuckle, "But you never could get a hang of it."

She then giggles, "Like the time you cut your knee open and I thought being a phoenix could help you and I just ended up giving you a burn wound."
