Act 1 - 032

The door swings open as I see the mask appear in front of us again, "And on the fourth day the crowd cheered for our two flowers to bloom," he chuckles, "The mere thought is exhilarating. This performance will be one to remember."

I then breathe out, "Mask..."

"Hmm?" then walking towards me, "Do you wish to see my face?"

Breathing out with a wheeze, "Remove your mask."

He answers simply. "Behind the mask? Is another mask. Can you live with yourself knowing that underneath I could be just like you?" He then focuses his attention on Akane who has been deathly silent for the last time I've been conscious, not ever responding to my calls.

He lifts his head to look him in the eyes, "When they find you..." then with a deep chuckle, "I wish I could be there to see it for myself."

Two people step into the room as he states, "Take them and string them up, our performance begins soon and I wish to be ready long before my partner arrives."

I then breathe out, "I'll kill you if I get out of here, I'll hunt you down."

"Good," he states, "I always wondered to see what you'd become, maybe even surpassing your mother. Only then will I excuse your absence from my plans."

The shackles are removed, and my limp arms drop to my lap to reveal that my hands and wrists are cut open by the shackles. My skin looks brittle and broken with stains of blood that look almost like it was scarred.

***   Kiriko POV   ***

"I've found them," I state, as I walk up to the headmaster.

"Good, I assembled a team-"

"I am going alone-"

"There are two students. Do you plan on letting one of them die?"

"I plan on killing him," I state.

He then gestures at the door, "You can send them to save the one and you can deal with this murderer, I am aware he will run at the sight of more than one person but this way we can save more than one person today."

I glance around to see faces I have never seen before.

"There are some of our best to offer at a short notice, six students."

I turn around to see Erica is also among them, I didn't expect to see her as one of the people who would come to help but it does make me feel a bit better. I only nod as I state, "Then we are leaving right now."

I walk past them straight towards a transport waiting outside for us. They all get in not making much conversation as Erica hops in the passenger seat - her eyes locked onto my person. Not a lot of people have seen me like this...

"I hope you don't mind me coming to help," she whispers.

I shake my head. "I am going alone," I state to all of them, "Khada Jhin is my target and if any of you get in my way you will die helping. Nobody here is ready for him, you are going to save the other student."

A kid then chuckles, "Sounds easy, here I thought we were going to see this serial killer in person."

Erica sighs, "Relax Juno. Probably plenty of people to fight."

We reach the place in question. Another run-down area that has been remodelled to look like a stage but this isn't my stop, no this is for them because there is no way I am letting anybody here die and be the reason he escapes again.

I will save my son, and kill him.

"Get out, this is your stop."

I wait for them to get out as I drive to the next one. I can tell that most of my body... all my emotions are high and I can tell that right now I am probably more shadow than I am human. Because this power relies so heavily on emotions it can cause you to just... break down emotionally and kill everything around you.
