"Fancy seeing you not in a class," Rey smiles at me, "Finally got a little break?"
I rub the back of my neck while I yawn, "Something like that. I had to meet with someone to sort out a few things so the rest of my day is pretty much free. Need to take it easy because training for more than five hours a day is seriously going to kill me."
That and I just woke up to Lauren gesturing for me to leave, Ashe is still somehow asleep and looking at it I think I slept for about an hour. I am deathly tired - I have no idea what she did but something tells me I am not going to struggle to fall asleep tonight.
"Looked around for you to see if there are any jobs worth taking. I also talked with Ahri after she came looking for you."
"Me?"
She nods, "Apparently there is a raid coming up and they want to merge teams for it - Ahri's team already got dibs on it and felt like taking us through one for the first time. I said I'd ask you first but everyone else already said that we'd be stupid not to take her up on that deal."
I nod, "It would be stupid. I'll talk to her tonight," I state.
"Cool, she also said we should come to hang out with their groups from now on."
I rub my eyes, "Shit I forgot to ask you guys, they mentioned it and it just slipped my mind."
"You okay?"
"I'm tired."
"What happened?" she chuckles.
"Just tired," no way I can tell them that I turned into a potential sleeping partner for someone who suffers from insomnia, I hope she does get proper sleep even though I pretty much had to leave.
She then asks, "Can we have a little meeting tomorrow with the team then? Don't want to stress you out too much. I want to go through how we are supposed to go about it."
"Probably need to address quite a bit yeah," I let out a long sigh, "Sure."
"Perfect," then gesturing for me to come with her, "Was on my way to check out some of the sparring matches. They are hosting some grand ones with most of the nurses on standby to revive anyone from grave injuries."
We both start walking, "Sounds fun - is there a reason for it?"
She nods, "High rankers spar to get some practice in - apparently Raids are the highest of the high we can reach in difficulty because it can last over a week to do it. I kinda hope it isn't something that is just a quick done deal mission."
I nod, "Need to stretch our wings a bit."
Stepping into the arena we drop down on the bleachers watching the current fight, Rey then begins, "That girl over there is a third-year - her name is Miriko and she has a Hydra attunement with water powers."
I nod, "Really?" I then glance over, "She is fighting Erica, which has a Phoenix attunement. This is probably going to be quite a match."
She chuckles, "Didn't know you knew anyone other than the people that go out of their way to talk to you - glad to see you are paying attention and scoping out our competition."
I then groan, "No it is because I've known Erica since kindergarten."
"Really?" she arches her eyebrow, "Why haven't I heard of this?"
"Complications," I breathe out, "The two of us weren't on speaking terms till very recently - the phoenix attunement makes her able to heal her wounds with her fires. The fires can't be put out by normal means either. You need to match it with magic stronger than her own."
