The word is still darker than normal but I am getting sleepy - must be getting closer to nighttime and probably an hour or so away from midnight. I am starving. My throat feels a little bit dry. I haven't fought any of the creatures and I have only seen the spiderlike ones.

I try to find a way to go about this - how I am to sleep. I already made peace with the fact that if I chose the wrong direction I am beyond fucked. I find more of those weird slimy trees with fruit and travel up to them.

I grab the fruit staring at it, "If this kills me... well at least it was this and not the spiders," I breathe out to myself before shutting my eyes to munch on it.

It is slimy and gross, it tastes weird and foul with the juices inside dripping down my chin. I swallow it despite wanting to and I can already feel my stomach hating me for doing this to it but at least my throat doesn't feel as dry.

I am not even hungry anymore.

I open my eyes to look at the inside - you can almost mistake it for icing at first glance on the inside but it is more... fleshy. I try to use my shadow to do something. I can't manage anything and it is annoying me.

They can't climb the trees because it is so slimy so the spiders aren't my worry. I worry that there is something that has to eat the fruit because I doubt it was made for me. I find a weirdly comfortable place to lie in and shut my eyes tightly.

I am keeping my ears open to hear anything but each rustle forces me awake and glancing at it to make sure I am not going to suddenly die.

This is going to be a long night.

*** Akali POV ***

The sun is about to go down, I am standing outside. We have held off from killing the thing that created the rift... all of us found it instantly while we left Kai'Sa to try and find him. We could finish at any point but we requested permission to search for him.

There is no way he just walked into it... it is one of the first things you learn. Someone must have pushed him in.

I glance over my shoulder wondering if Troy hates him enough to do that, then there is Brian because he was getting close to Ahri, Henry because he is good friends with Troy but I doubt he is that stupid.

I need to consider everything. Rey because she thinks it is unfair (Y/N) survived? No... she isn't that type of person.

Kai'Sa steps through with clenched fists, "Kai..."

"Kali I can't find him," she furrows her brow. "I... I need more time please."

I then nod, "Ahri went to go and ask for permission to keep searching, we are waiting for confirmation on that still."

She then rests her hands on her lower back,."Is everyone else still around?"

I nod, "They are sleeping in the bunk beds of this camp," I state. "It's just the three of us still awake, nobody is taking it well."

She turns around, "It is endless in there."

I then sigh, "I don't think we are finding him in there..."

She sighs, "Maybe... maybe a symbiote will latch onto him and keep him alive the same way as this suit," she then rubs her face. "I am going back in."

I grab her arm, "We can't."

She states, "Time works differently in there, it is already midnight in there. We don't have any time to spare, Akali."

I furrow my brow, "Kai you can't kill yourself searching for someone in a world that is so much bigger than ours. It... it just isn't feasible-"

She yanks her arm back and walks back in. I walk in after her, I want to help but... it is so hard to stay positive when nobody ever comes back from this.

*** Normal POV ***

Day two.

I think to myself as I throw myself out of my incredibly uncomfortable sleeping position - there are even smaller critters floating in the air almost like bats or birds. Much much smaller than the Leviathans I saw yesterday.

I ate the same fruit but more than one to fight against hunger and thirst. I am surprised that I can use it for both but that is just luck on my end. I decided that I should roam around more and in the same direction.

I notice that there are a lot of bone-like arches around in the air. I try to create a shadowy sling in my hand... I manage to make one but as I try to throw it to use it to get around easier it breaks the moment I tug at it.

Guess I am still getting a hang of a lot of things.

I then walk towards an island filled with those same spiders that instantly charge me - I then coat my legs in shadow to stomp and kick them to death. The added impact and force easily crack their carapace.

They start leaping through the air to reach me with some of their claws scratching through my clothes. I instantly shift into shadow as more and more of them leap at me in the air falling off the side of the little island into the abyss below.

"Fuck that hurts," I feel blood trickle down my stomach and into my clothes.

I have no way of treating wounds or cleaning them. Need to be much more careful than that. I then feel my shadow form fail I feel my heart leap into my chest as I fall.

"Oh, shit-" I throw the same sling that takes shape instantly and suddenly feel a shock go through my entire body as I suddenly come to a halt.

I then chuckle to myself, "Ugh.... this is so shit."

Dangling in the air, the sling is more like a grappling hook than anything else. I then try to climb it but instead use the shadow to propel me back up. That's one way to turn into Spiderman, I chuckle to myself as I reach the place where I was.

I crawl back to the centre on my knees and feel my heart beating heavily in my chest, my adrenaline is running high. Guess that is one way to learn a new ability... I quickly lift myself and start throwing it to different places and use the shadows to propel myself towards it.

I lose my footing a couple of times and fail the landing either sending me off the edge or crashing into the ground.

I have plenty of time to get used to it.

I then remind myself, "Day two. Just use this to close the distance easier and travel around quicker. I can do it."
