Xaviers POV
"Bro honestly I'm tired of seeing you like this." Jordan scoffed as he entered my living room. I was curled up in one of Luna's favorite blankets on the couch.
"Don't look at me for another month then." I mumbled.
"Have you slept in your room yet?"
I shook my head no. A few days after the break commenced, I started sleeping on the couch or in the guest room. Being in my room made me feel suffocated for some reason. Maybe it was because so much of her stuff was all over it. Her bonnet, toothbrush, sweatpants, t shirts, hair brush, heels, and so much more. Everything was so conveniently all around reminding me of her.
I put everything away but still laying in my own bed didn't feel right. For some reason it just felt better in the living room.
"You're going to be with her again soon." Jordan said to comfort me. "You don't have to do that. I know you don't even think I should be with her at all."
"I don't think you should be with her while you're teaching here." He clarified.
I sighed and pulled the blanket over my head. "I just miss her you know. She hasn't even been replying to my messages. Do you think she blocked me?" I asked.
A silence passed so I peaked my head out of the blanket to look at him. "I mean I don't think she would do that." He replied without looking at me.
"Why are you looking like that?" I asked. "Well you see...."
"What did you do?"
"She hasn't replied because she isn't seeing the messages. I may have blocked her so that you don't go back on your idea."
"Why the hell would you do that!?" I exclaimed. "I was trying to make sure you saw this through."
"Get out bro." I sighed as I shook my head. I didn't even have the energy to get on his ass the way I knew I should've. "I was just looking out for you."
"And now I want you to go look out for the front door while you're walking out of it."
"Seriously?"
"Yes seriously. I get that you were trying to look out for me but at the end of the day I don't need your goddamn help! You're pushing my boundaries and I don't like it. When the fuck did you even have my phone to be doing that type of shit?!"
"Look bro I understand what you're saying and I'm sorry. But look on the bright side. You've made it through the first month."
"Good night, Jordan." I said, finalizing the conversation. He sighed and squeezed my shoulder on his way out the door.
I shook my head as I grabbed my phone. I scrolled through my contacts until I reached her name and I unblocked her. Maybe I should check in on her. I wonder how she's doing. I wonder if she gets my gifts and if she likes them.
I try to convince myself that she's doing fine without me. Mainly because I've seen her quite a few times on campus and she was always smiling or laughing. She never seemed to notice me. I wish she did.
Instead of messaging her like I wanted to, I took to stalking her Instagram. I didn't follow her but luckily her page wasn't private. She's posted some stuff on her story, so I clicked to watch that first.
The first thing to pop up was a picture of her and Mason doing jail poses in a random parking lot. Then there were some videos of a basketball game. She went to game?
"She went to a game?" I mumbled aloud. The next story was a repost of someone else's story. She was shot gunning a beer behind someone's pick up truck while a bunch of people cheered her on.
