Lunas POV

After my short lived meeting with Professor Nixon after class I couldn't get the interaction out of my head. I was eager to see him again but at the same time he made me so nervous.

It honestly made me want to avoid talking to him all together. I don't know why but when I find someone attractive and they're job is to teach or help me I just start to avoid asking them for help. I guess I don't want them to think I'm dumb.

For example last year, I was getting tutored by this guy who worked for my scholarship coordinator and he was beautiful. I stopped going to the sessions cause I was starting to develop a crush on him and he made me nervous.

I'm such an idiot for that but anxiety is a bitch.

I tried to keep calm as Friday rolled around but I was bursting at the seams with nervousness. Not only was Xavier way too attractive for his own good, he also had to review my work.

I got dressed in a black jumpsuit that was rather tight but I promised Nadia I'd wear it. I paired it with a cropped black jean jacket and black and blue Jordan 1's. "See I told you it was cute."

She picked up the jumpsuit from the mall didn't like the way it looked on her so she gave it to me. "I don't know. You don't think it's too tight?" I asked.

"Absolutely not. You look good." She said as she looked me up and down slowly. "It's giving hot girl I like it."

"I don't."

"Luna!" She groaned dramatically. "What? I'm trying here. I can only go outside of my comfort zone but so much."

"Luna it's basically Just tights and a spaghetti strapped t shirt." She deadpanned. "My boobs are exposed." I mumbled.

She stepped forward and reached for the neckline of the jumpsuit before lifting it a bit. "Problem solved. And would you look at the time, it's too late for you to change we have to go."

I groaned and an expression of irritation settled onto my face. I ran a paddle brush through my hair quickly to get the fly always and grabbed my bag. "Let's go."

She smiled mischievously and followed me out to the door.

It took no time to get onto campus and as we walked to our first class I noticed people were staring at me as I walked by. "People keep staring at me, I told you I should've worn something else. This is inappropriate."

"It's college you can wear whatever the fuck you want. They aren't staring because it's inappropriate they are staring because you look good."

I ignored her and the stares for the rest of the walk to class. As soon as we stepped into the building i was hit with a rush of cold air and more than ever wished I had on a hoodie. "It's cold as fuck in here." I whispered.

"You complain too much."

I rolled my eyes and followed her to our class. It took no time to get there and we sat in the same seats we'd always sat in.

My first two classes went by way quicker than I wanted them to. I was currently walking to Xaviers office and giving myself a pep talk. "Stop worrying."

My eyebrows were pinched together and a frown was settled onto my face because of how hard I was trying to fight the sudden sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. I shook it off and tried to get my brain to realize that it wasn't that serious. I didn't have to be anxious.

I knocked on the door and awkwardly placed my hands at my sides while I waited. I heard a voice say something and then the door opened. I was greeted by the sight of a dark skin girl with long wavy hair and a pretty smile. She was holding her laptop in one hand and the other was still on the door handle.

Professor Nixon was sat behind his desk with some papers in his hands. "Is this a bad time?" I asked lowly. "No, not at all." Xavier said kind of quickly. His eyes rounded out slightly and he leaned forward a bit.

I noticed that with his eyes he seemed to be shooing this student away.

"I'll get out of your hair Xavier, but just text my mom with the meet time for the contract." She said. "Alright Paris. Make sure you tell that boyfriend of yours that he needs to meet with his legal team about that other stuff you asked."

The woman, Paris, nodded and slung her book bag over her shoulder. "Thanks again, his legal team is honestly shit."

"Clearly."

Paris sent a small wave on her way out the door and closed it behind her gently. I took a seat in front of Xaviers desk and offered a small smile. "How are you, Luna?" He asked with a soft smirk.

"I'm alright, How are you?"

"Good. How far were you able to get with the paper?"

"I got done three pages."

"Oh wow, let's see it then. You can share it with me." He said with a hint of excitement in his voice. I nodded and pulled my iPad out of my bag.

I felt his eyes on me the entire time that I got it out and sent him the document. I fidgeted slightly as I did so because he was starting to make me even more nervous.

"I sent it." I told him. When I looked up from the iPad he was still looking at me. We made eye contact for a second but I quickly looked away.

"Alright let me just read through this real quick."

I nodded and decided to take a look around. This is only my second time In here so I never really got a chance to observe.

His office was pretty spacious, there was a nice sized expensive looking couch on the wall near the door with a throw blanket. Then there was the large dark brown desk with two comfy chairs in front and his chair behind it. There weren't any personal items like family photos. He had his degrees displayed on the wall behind the desk. There was a tall plant that made the space look more lively but other than that, it was pretty plain and neat.

It was comfortable in here, I'm sure he had students coming in all the time to "work". After about three minutes of reading he said, "okay, I like where you're going with this so far. There's a few things i want to note though."

I nodded and opened the iPad so I could look. "Your thesis is really strong, but I think you could expand on it especially as you're entering into your second paragraph. Then in the third paragraph—I'll highlight the section—You Can bridge the gap with your main thesis and some examples into the fourth paragraph instead of the third."

I nodded and made note of it with my pencil quickly. "Other than that, you should just edit some grammar issues and that's it."

"Okay sounds good."

"Don't forget that the due date is coming quickly so don't wait to get your edits done."

"Will do, thank you Professor."

"Yeah no problem, I'm always available for you if you need anymore help or anything else. My door is open." He smiled. God that man had perfect teeth.

"I really appreciate it." I smiled back.
