The week ended with a calm rain storm and the weekend held no substance. Throughout it all though I couldn't stop thinking of Xavier. More importantly I couldn't stop thinking of the next time we'd be getting coffee.
I just returned home from school, later than usual this Monday. As I made it to the door I got an email from the PA agency. My eyes widened in surprise and I immediately opened it neglecting to even open the door.
A huge smile spread onto mg face as I read through the email. I squealed from excitement and quickly unlocked the front door.
"I got the fucking job!" I screeched as I stepped into my apartment. I'd expected to see Nadia on the couch watching 'Shameless' the way she usually did on days that we didn't carpool and she got home first. But instead I presented with the sight of Nadia half naked on top of Erin. At the sound of my voice I watched Nadia jumo from surprise.
"Oh shit! Sorry!" I immediately added when my eyes landed on Nadia and Erin on the couch.
The two had jumped apart and were scrambling to get their tops back on. Nadia did well to use her body to cover Erin since she'd ended up completely topless. I shielded my eyes as I closed the door. "Youre good, Luna. Sorry I thought you'd be gone longer."
"Please tell me your decent." I said after a minute. "Yeah we're dressed."
I sighed from relief and dropped my hand. I awkwardly raised my hand again to wave at Erin. She offered me a similar awkward wave and said, "Congrats on the new job."
"Thanks. I'm gonna—I'll be in my room." I mumbled.
"Congrats! We hope you'll join us for dinner!" Nadia called after me. "Thanks!"
Once I got in my room I let out a long sigh before I began to laugh. "Never a dull moment." I mumbled to myself.
I grabbed my laptop and sat at my desk so that I could finish going through the email. Once I fully reas through I got the gist of how much I'd be getting paid, who I was set to work under, and where I'd virtually log hours. I was going to start tomorrow which is perfect because I have two classes tomorrow. Both of which were mid morning, so I could report to the professor I'd be working for at 9am get a list of my tasks, go to class, check in with the professor again, go to class, and after that I'd be all there's until 6pm.
I scrolled further down into the email to find out who I'd work for and let out a tiny sigh when I saw the name of the Spanish professor I had in my first semester here. An instant chill shook me as I thought of her horrid accent. I still can't figure out how she got hired in the first place.
I tweaked my calendar and virtual schedule a bit before leaving my laptop all together so that I could take a shower.

I settled down to get to bed at around 10pm. I had my hair in two braids with a satin scarf around my edges and my large satin bonnet. Once those were on, it was lights out. I laid my head on my pillow comfortably under my blankets when a notification came to my phone. It was another email from the agency about the job.
I was too tired to read but out of pure curiosity I decided to do it anyway.
'Good evening Ms. Genesis, we would like to inform that there has been a change in our system. Instead of Professor Cordez, you will instead be assisting Professor Xavier Nixon. We apologize for any inconvenience that this last minute information may have caused...'
My eyes widened in pure shock. How'd that happen? He wasn't even on the list of professors looking for a PA. I wouldn't complain though. I'd rather this than working with Prf. Cordez. The ended the email with the proper place to meet with Xavier and some other details I couldn't be bothered to look at. This is great.
My job just got ten times easier and I haven't even started yet. I went to sleep with a clear conscious and a wonder for what tomorrow would bring.
