"Lucas hurry the hell up."
Our departure to the restaurant was severely delayed because Lucas decided he needed to take a dump. He's lactose intolerant and apparently the Starbucks barista used whole milk in his Frappuccino instead of almond. Lunch quickly became dinner.
Aside from his hour in the bathroom, Nadia and I spent hella time just finding something for me to wear.
"Bro I'm coming!" He yelled.
"Who the hell you yelling at?" Aunt Janice asked. We heard him mumbling a bunch before the toilet flushed and the sink came on.
He came out the bathroom spraying every ounce of the air freshener and the Lysol. "Stop that ain't cheap!" I exclaimed and smacked the back of his head.
"It's already 5 o clock. See if Luna ain't take thirty years to put on that outfit I wouldn't have had time to go to the bathroom. It's dark Now we gotta get dinner." Lucas complained.
I ended up wearing a black body suit with a mini leather skirt. Because it's cold I'm wearing my black leather jacket that's lined with white fur and thigh high black heeled boots. My bracelets were the perfect accessory along with my white purse. I allowed Nadia to style me tonight. As soon as we decided to do dinner she picked this outfit out.
When we finally got out the door we decided to split between two cars and head to whatever restaurant it is they picked.
When we were finally seated I was bombarded with questions about how I spent the rest of the weekend and why I didn't want to come home. "I was just busy doing some work that required my immediate attention." I lied.
My family ate the lies that I fed them and I gulped some water to try to get rid of the nausea I was suddenly feeling. I don't like lying to them. These days it feels like all I do is lie. I lie to my parents, my friends, Xaviers parents, and anyone else who asks me pointed questions.
"We heard you're seeing someone." Mommy said.
I gasped forgetting that I was drinking water and gracefully proceeded to choke. Lucas quickly started to pat my back but it felt more like he was beating me down.
When I finally recovered I cleared my throat and smiled awkwardly. "Who told you that?"
"Lucas of course."
I subtly glared at my brother for his stupidity. I asked him not to say anything. "Yes I am seeing someone."
"Well where's the good brotha at. I'd love to meet him."
"Oh he's no brotha that's for sure." Nadia chuckled. "Is he Asian?" Mom asked.
"He's white. Hispanic though." Lucas answered for me.
"He better be fine." Aunt Janice said. "He is very handsome thank you very much. We aren't really all that serious right now, so I'm just waiting for the right time to introduce him to everyone. Hence why I never mentioned him in the first place." I lied while picking up my heeled foot and stomping down on Lucas'.
He winced loudly and hunched over. "We get it baby. Bring him to the house when you're ready."
We continued our meal laughing and talking about anything that came to mind. Even though we were finished eating we were still sat at the table talking about one of my dads cousins.
