Xavier and I long since finished dinner and decided to clean up together. We stood at the sink side by side. I washed the dishes and he dried them. "If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be?"
"Hmmm. Maybe Tokyo." I replied quickly. "How about you?"
"Dubai."
"Generic." I teased. "It isn't when you've been everywhere else."
"Yeah I suppose thats true. What was your favorite place that you've traveled to?"
"Oviedo." He replied. "And that is in...Spain? Right?"
"Yeah. It's where my dad is from. I always love going there." He explained.
"How is your dad doing by the way. I know loss isn't easy I can't imagine what he could be going through losing his mom."
"He's doing better. Trying to make the most of life while he's still here. And trying to get me to do the same." He shrugged. "Well that's good. What about your mom and sister?"
"They're good. And what about your family?"
"They're all good. Just waiting for me to come back home again."
A silence passed over us as I washed the last dish. I passed him the clean pan and started to rinse the side out of the sink. "Why'd you bring me here?" I asked suddenly.
I'd been wondering since I got in the car but hadn't really had the right mind to ask until now. "Would you believe me if i told you it's because I want you all to myself?" He asked.
I looked up as I turned to face him. He was already staring at me with a gaze that had danger written all over it. "I'm starting to think you're obsessed with me?" I joked.
"How'd you know?" He asked seriously. I playfully pushed his shoulder but he only wrapped his arms around my waist to pull me closer.
I wrapped my arms around his shoulders and smiled up at him. "Seriously though I really just wanted to have some time without having to worry about being seen or talk about work."
"Well I do appreciate it."
"I was being serious though." He shared. "About what? Being obsessed with me?"
"That and wanting you all to myself. Sucks that it's only for the night." He sighed. "Who said it only had to be tonight?"
A smirk grew on his face and a strange look of mischief passed through his eyes. "You're right. But we should definitely make tonight worth our while."
I offered a questioning gaze as he began to squat slightly. He hands found the back of my thighs and I squealed when he lifted me from the ground.
He legs instantly wrapped around his waist and he moved me over to the kitchen island. I was placed on the cold surface while he stood between my legs. I couldn't stop giggling during the whole exchange.
His hand reached into my hair and he gently pulled my head back to meet his gaze. I let out a soft hiss at the action. It didn't hurt it was just so sudden and I didn't expect to like it as much as I did. He placed soft, tentative kisses along my neck in an almost teasing manner. My hands found there way under his shirt and I lightly pulled him impossibly closer. He pulled away much to my dismay and looked me in the eyes.
"You're so pretty baby." He mumbled. His words made my ears hot. I felt embarrassed by how flustered he made me feel. I was completely clothed and yet I felt completely bare in front of him as he stared at me the way that he did. It was like he could see through me.
I tried to hide my embarrassment by kissing him. It started off slow and gentle. But I craved more. I liked it when he was gentle with me. But when he took control it always felt...better. So to tease him a bit, I nibbled on his bottom lip very gently and sucked on the tip of his tongue. The groan that he let out had me tightening my legs around his waist.
