Luna's POV

My leg bounced up and down rapidly as I sat uncomfortably in my seat. I'd been waiting out here for over ten minutes. Why aren't they ready yet? I was supposed to see Dean Stavros at 2pm and its already 2:02pm.

He had someone else in his office and they seemed to be laughing and joking around from what I could hear. At 2:05 the door swung open and Mason came waltzing out of the office.

"Mason? What are you doing here?" I asked him. "Dean Stavros asked me to come meet with him. Cool dude. He said to send you in. I'll catch up with you later." He winked and walked away.

I took one last deep breath and stepped into the office. I closed the door behind me and sat down beside who I recognized as the university President. She was much prettier in person but looked just as cold and calculating as she did in the media.

Dean Stavros was full of smiles as I walked in. "Ms. Genesis! How are you?" He asked.

"I'm okay, how are you both?"

They mumbled variations of good and okay. "Can I ask why I was summoned?"

"We would like to ask you a few questions about your relationship with the teacher you're assisting for your work study job."

"Professor Nixon?"

"Yes. It was brung to our attention, that you two may not have a solely professional relationship. We would like to hear from you about that."

"I don't know what other kind of relationship we could have. Professor Nixon doesn't even have my phone number." I scoffed.

"Do you recognize this?" President Dickens asked as she passed two pictures over to me. I studied them closely. We were wearing the same things so I assumed both pictures were from the same day. "Um yeah, Professor Nixon dropped me off this day. We didn't get done working on a case study and legal documents for his client until like 9. My car was at the dealership getting maintenance, so he gave me a ride home." I explained.

"How did you get to campus?"

"I came with my roommate. We have a class that starts at the same time. But since I was done so late she had already gone back home. Instead of having her come back to get me, he gave me a ride."

She then passed me a piece of paper. It was whatever note that Lilliana said they received. I read it quickly and frowned. "Have you ever engaged in anything inappropriate with Xavier?" Angela asked.

"Of course not. Professor Nixon is a man of integrity. He would never take advantage of me like that. He's far to smart for someone like me to be coercing him too. I would never do anything like that."

"You speak so highly of him."

"He's been an amazing mentor. He gives me professional advice and I've learned a lot from hands on work with him. He has never been inappropriate with me, and I haven't been with him. Whoever wrote this is trolling you."

"Is it true that you're seeing Mason Ashward, Romantically?"

"We aren't anything official but we hang out a lot. I really like him. Oh god is that why he was just here? He probably thinks I'm some slut now? He'll never go out with me." It was time to turn the pressure on. I made up that sob story and actually managed to get my eyes to water.

"No, Mr. Ashward actually said that you two are really good friends and he's been trying to ask you out." John said quickly to soothe me.

"Really?!"

"Yes. He even said that he's never even thought that your relationship with Xavier could be anything but professional. Went as far as to say that Xavier speaks to you in terms so technical he often doesn't understand him."

"It's true. I think someone is making things up to make me or maybe Xavier look bad. Or maybe they just assumed something that it wasn't. I don't know if Professor Nixon was not allowed to drop me home but I appreciate the fact that he did that night. All the buildings were closed and my phone was dead. It was snowing too! If he hadn't I would've been out there stranded." I justified.

Angela placed her hand on my forearm as a means to draw my eyes to hers. "Are you sure? If anything he's ever done was inappropriate in any way, you can tell us. This won't hurt you we promise."

"I swear, nothing inappropriate is going on."

"We believe you." John sighed. "We never believed Xavier would indulge in something so frowned upon. We just needed to make sure we addressed this claim and made sure you were feeling safe."

"I am." I told her as I looked her dead in her eyes.

After they let me go I felt like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Finally that was done. A few hours after the meeting I received an email from Angela where she profusely apologized and explained they needed to investigate to insure both Xavier and my safety. Xavier was copied onto the email. I sighed heavily.

Thank god that's over. Now I just need to figure who the hell would do this. The letter was signed E, but I don't think I know anyone with that initial.

I paced my room as I raked my brain. Then it hit me. E as in Erin. The same Erin who told Nadia not to be friends with me anymore and talked about me behind my back. I would never call myself vindictive but I already hate her for that if she actually did do this, I'm going to kick her ass.
