"The way them titties sag, milk done gone bad, bitch I promise he ain't Copping!"
"Everybody know you bopping, the whole hood know You fair play!!"
Nadia and I laughed loudly as we rapped to Kashdoll at the top of our lungs. When the song was over she turned the radio down and pulled into one of the many campus parking lots. "Do you think you got the job?" She asked.
It's 9:30 and I've just left from my job interview for the PA position. "I don't know. It's like I feel like I did, but I don't want to get my hopes up."
"I'm sure you did great." She encouraged me. "You want me to wait here with you while you change?" She asked.
"Nah it's okay, I'll meet you back here in a little bit."
She nodded and gathered her things to get out. I on the other hand was basically stripping in my seat. In just 30 minutes I was going to be meeting Xavier for coffee and I wasn't going to do it in my interview outfit.
She got out the car as I changed into a pair of jeans. They were dark, high waisted, tight jeans that hugged my every curve and flared at the bottom. I pulled off my blouse to reveal the undershirt I wore underneath. I pulled on the cropped black sweater I had and my leather jacket before putting on my Air Force 1s.
I pulled my hair out from inside of my sweater and fixed up my curls a bit. I wore my hair half up, half down with a few strands coming out in the front. I put my brown wide rimmed glasses back on and stepped out of the car. I let Nadia pack my bag of extra clothes today. I'm pretty sure that the only thing of my that I was wearing was the leather jacket and the sneakers.
It wasn't bad though so I just sucked it up and dealt with it. My arms and chest were covered the way I liked.
I locked the car doors and made my way to Xaviers office. I walked rather slow and still managed to get there at exactly 10 am. I knocked lightly on the door and stood there anxiously waiting for him to tell me to come in. Instead of the sound of his voice beckoning me inside, the door was pulled open and Xavier stood on the other side of the threshold.
He was dressed in dark slacks that fit him perfectly, they weren't too tight or too loose, and he paired it with a black dress shirt. The first two buttons were undone and I could see the small silver chain he wore that held a small sized crucifix on it.
He looked to have gotten a hair cut since his line up was fresher than it was yesterday. The longer part of his hair was neatly pushed back out of his face. It looked so soft I wanted to touch it. "Luna." He said with an unreadable expression.
"Professor, are you ready to go?" I asked. "Yes, let me just grab my bag."
I nodded and stood outside of his office door as he pulled on his dark grey pea coat and grabbed his satchel.
I took a step back while he locked the door and followed after him. "You look nice." He complimented. "Oh, thank you. So do you." I replied.
"Oh don't flatter me." He joked.
I let out a soft laugh and it affectively cleared the slight air of tension between us. "How's your day going?"
"Good. I'm coming from an interview and it went pretty well, so I'm excited. How's yours?"
"Getting better." He replied. "What was the interview for?"
"The PA job. Thank you again by the way for sending me the details for that."
"Oh yeah, no problem. If you get the job you could be my PA." He chuckled.
"Wouldn't that be nice." I said slightly sardonically. "They gave me a list of the options I could get paired with, I saw like five professors. Ive had them all and they're all trash." I huffed.
"Damn that sucks. Let's be optimistic and hope they're better employers."
"I sure hope so."
We made it to the coffee shop and found a table rather easily. It was by the windows and he sat across from me. The sunlight captured his face beautifully. His hazel eyes sparkled in the light and I had to force myself to look away so I don't start staring. "I'll go get the drinks. What do you want?" I asked.
"Small coffee with almond milk and hazelnut creamer." He requested. I nodded curtly and finished adjusting my stuff before standing back up. Before I could walk away he was pushing a $20 bill in my direction. "I'm supposed to be buying remember?"
"Don't worry, it's on me."
I took the money and folded it before casually placing it in the chest pocket of his black button down shirt. "It's on me."
As I went up to the counter I could feel his eyes on me. I ordered his coffee got myself an iced coffee. I also got a banana nut muffin. I really needed a full meal but the muffin would have to do.
I waited for about two minutes for our stuff and I casually walked back over to our table. "Here's your coffee." I said as I placed his drink onto the table in front of him.
"Thank you...next time it's on me."
"There's going to be a next time, Professor?" I asked as I quirked an eyebrow. "I don't see why not, Ms. Genesis."
