I sat with my legs crossed and Xavier's Ipad sitting on my lap as I read through the conditions of his next court date. He needed a bunch of records and evidence for the legal battle he was about to be entering. I really didn't know a whole lot about it per attorney client privileges, but i knew enough.
Paris Santana and her family are in the public eye. They're rich and they are deemed important enough to the media. She's filing a police report about something her ex did and asking for a restraining order.
At the same time Her bodyguard was also arrested but Xavier was able to get that sorted this morning. He however still needs to appear in court.
"This appeal looks good. well worded, you didn't miss a beat." I told him once i read the last line amongst the many on the screen.
"Ares' court date is scheduled for the 19th so i need everything in order. I was able to expedite the process of getting the restraining order but I just need to fax out some things to the judge."
"I can do it for you." I offered. "You don't have to-"
"It's okay, really."
I grabbed the couple papers he was holding and handled the faxing process with ease. luckily this judge was still in their office.
After that I got to sit down and watch him make phone calls to some of the people Paris works with professionally. It was like he was her PR team and her lawyer all in one. He worked hard for her, making sure he dotted his I's and crossed his T's.
It was attractive.
Watching him do his job with so much caution and dedication was a turn on. He clearly cared about Paris but from what he told me he hardly knows her body guard. He isn't even the guys lawyer. But even still he's doing his very best to get him out of the dugout.
In general Xavier is a fairly generous man, so it's not surprising that he stepped in and helped him.
He was making calls for another thirty minutes before he finally put his phone down. "Last one?"
"Yes. Thank God." He sighed. I let out a soft giggle that earned me a coy smile. "What are your plans for tonight?"
"I don't have any?" I shrugged.
"Would you be interested in a home cooked meal as a thank you for your support?" He asked. "That sounds great."
"Good. I'm done for today so we can do whatever you want until then."
Just as I went to speak there was a knock at the door. Obviously it wasn't Aria. "Come in Paris." Xavier called out. I guess we had the same idea.
The same girl I always see in his office stuck her head in the door as she opened it before taking a step inside. "Aria and I are gonna go to my house. She wants to watch tv and eat ice cream until we hurl." She shrugged.
"Have fun. You need it."
"Thanks. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Oh and thanks for the omelette, Genesis."
I gave her wave as she made her way out.
"Now what do you want to do until later?"
"Honestly? I need a nap." I laughed. "I won't lie so do I."
"It's a date then?" He teased. "A nap?"
"Yes. Have you ever just went to your best friends house and took a nap with them just because?"
"I-actually yes I have. We used to call them Bro naps."
"It'll be like the same thing." He chuckled.
"Okay." I agreed. He stood with a cool exterior and extended his hand to me once he rounded the desk.
I placed my hand in his and allowed him to lead me out to the living room. "Bye Xavier. Bye Genesis, it was lovely to meet you!" Aria yelled from the front door.
"You too!" I yelled back. Once we heard the sound of the front door slamming I let out a breath I didn't realize I was holding. "Is here good?" He asked.
I nodded wordlessly and sat on the end of the couch. "Let me go grab another blanket."
I nodded and scrolled through my family group chat while I waited. I responded to few of their messages and laughed at a couple more before Xavier returned.
"Alright how do you want to do this?" He asked.
Usually when Nadia and I did this she would lay on one couch and I would lay in the other. Xavier has a sectional and a love seat. But we are...I don't know-intimate. So does that mean we should lay together?
I simply shrugged. "I don't-I don't really know." I stuttered. My face burned with embarrassment. "It's okay. Just follow my lead and let me know if anything makes you uncomfortable." He suggested.
I nodded and allowed him to guide me to the wider side of the sectional. He had me stand for a second while he got on the couch with his back against the back of it. He adjusted himself to a laying position and pulled the blanket over him. AfterwRds he gestured for me to join him and lay in front of him. I did so slightly awkwardly. "You want your own blanket?" He asked.
"Can I erm...can we share this one?"
"Of course we can." He replied softly. I pulled my hoodie off and sat in on the other side of the couch before settling down in front of him.
I was a little close to the edge so i carefully lifted my hips a bit and moved back. I hadn't meant to but I ended up rubbing my bum against his crotch. I wanted to die of embarrassment. "I'm sorry." I winced and started to move forward. He stopped me by wrapping his arm around my waist.
His hand laid flat on my stomach. His palm was against my bare skin because my shirt had risen. "You're good. Just relax."
I nodded and rested my head on the pillow.
"This okay?" He asked as he gently rubbed my hip with his thumb. "Mhm."
It didn't take long before I was out like a light.
