RHEILA'S POV
"Rheila..."
I still find it hard to believe it at this time. Is this really happening? Who am I looking at in front of me? Is that really Airen? Cloud? No way! My heart is racing right now, my goodness! Even now, I'm unsure of my reactions and thoughts!
"Finally!" Samara's abrupt words brought me to my senses right off the bat. I stood up straight and walked slowly toward her. May isa pang bakanteng upuan, 'yun nga lang, katabi ni Airen kaya tumayo na lang ako. "You can sit down, Rheila."
"Uh, nah... Thanks," I said shyly.
"Nahihiya ka ba sa anak ko?" Dahil sa sinabi ni Samara ay bigla na lang akong napaubo at nasamid sa sarili kong laway! Agad namang tumingin sa akin si A at nagtanong.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah..." I whispered and I hope he heard that.
Geez, wait!
Confirmed! Anak nga niya! My gosh, weh ba? Totoo? Jusko, nakakahiya! Anak ni Samara 'yong pinalayo ko sa 'kin dati! Wah! Nakakaiyak!
"You know each other already, huh?" Samara said with a teasing tone, so I looked away.
"Hi, madam! Magi-start na po 'yung meeting!"
Shet, salamat sa 'yo Ate!
Jusko, feeling ko mamamatay ako sa hiya at kailangan! Buti na lang ay tinawag na no'ng secretary si Samara! Ay, wait! Gaga kasama pala ako sa meeting kaya nandito ako! Ee, naman oh!
I was the first to leave the office and I headed right to the meeting room. As more employees entered, my aura shifted back to how it had been.
Fierce.
After Samara finally showed up, the meeting began, and I sat calmly to hear what the person speaking in front had to say. Despite the fact that my thoughts were flying, I was still able to understand portions of the meeting.
Alam na ba dati ni Ms. Samara na magkakilala kami ng anak niya?
Sinabi kaya ni A? Or baka naman nagsumbong siya na pinalayo ko siya sa akin? Hala, jusko 'wag naman sana! Aa, bahala na nga! Wala na muna akong pake kung alam ni Ms. Samara o hindi.
Pero aa, nakaka-overthink!
I exited the conference room as soon as it was over because I felt the call of nature. Fortunately, there are several CRs in this area, so I had zero trouble. I then hurriedly exited the CR and headed straight again for elevator. But oh my God, I about cursed words out loud when I saw Airen inside the elevator when it initially opened! I forced a deep swallow and stepped inside the elevator slowly.
