One year later, in February 2007:

Jordan and I have been exchanging the kids since he isn't touring this year; he did schedule eight shows during the summer.

He said he wanted to be present for the kids; too bad he didn't want to be present for me, then we would still be living together and not be divorced.

Funny how life can change in a small amount of time. I am just happy he is spending time with our kids; nothing makes me happier than him being there for them. They are the most important people.

Jordan has a girlfriend named Daisy, whom he has been seeing for a couple of months; he has been respectful of not bringing her around our kids. We both agreed that our relationships wouldn't be brought around the kids until it got serious, like moving in together or marriage serious.

Needless to say, neither of us has even thought about that. So, she doesn't come around when he has the kids. I have been on a few dates, but I am just really focused on raising my kids.

Jordan will be by in a few to pick the kids up for the next week. Jon and Dave are coming over for dinner tonight.

They have been so good to me since Jordan and I split up. Jon is my best friend, I haven't taken the step with any of the guys I have been dating. So, needless to say, it's been a while for me.

I finished packing their bags with their favorite stuff. Jordan has bought them both clothes, so the only thing they take is their stuffed animals, blankets, and stuff like that.

"Mama, can we go to get pizza tonight?" Stefan asked as he climbed into her lap.

"Oh, sweetie, you are going to Daddy's this weekend, so you will have to ask Daddy."

"Why do we have to go over there and then back here? I want you and Daddy to live together again."

"Oh, baby boy, I am so sorry. Look, Mommy and Daddy had some issues, so we aren't living together anymore." Just as someone knocked on the door, she picked him up and opened the door to let Jordan in.

"Hey, buddy."

"Hi, Daddy. Daddy, why don't you and Mommy live at this house? I don't like having to switch."

"Um, well buddy, Mommy and Daddy don't live together anymore because we, um, needed time apart."

"Well, you have had enough time apart. I miss doing fun things together with Mommy."

"I'm sorry, buddy, that's not my decision. I know you do, bud, and so does Daddy. Look, Mommy does fun stuff with you when you are here with her, and then we do fun stuff when you are with me."

"Stefan, you know Mommy didn't like Daddy's schedule when he was gone all the time. Daddy, can Jenny stay the night tomorrow?"

"Michelle, be nicer to your brother; he's just confused. Um, well, sweetheart, it's a school night, I don't think her parents are going to let her stay over on a school night. Yu-huh, she stayed here on a school night this week. Mommy let her stay."

Jordan looked at Stephanie, and she shook her head, "I did, and so did her parents because you had that art project due."

"Well, we have to get a book report done; it's due in three days. We don't have time at recess to do it. Because we are cheering for the boys, but anyway, we need to get it done, please, Daddy."

"Hold up, you are cheering for the boys. What are the boys doing?"

"Racing, they race to the end of the track and back. So, Jenny, Katie, Kimmy, Beth, and I cheer for them. We made our own little cheerleading squad. Mommy makes me wear skirts with shorts underneath because when I do cartwheels, so they can't see anything."
