She gave him her famous eye roll, "Okay, ladies and Jordan, I am going to go say hi to everyone else. She hugged Alison and Sharon.
"You're an idiot, little brother. You lost that amazing woman all because you wouldn't even offer to cancel your schedule. Joey did, and he got her, and they are such a cute couple. She loves him, and J, she truly loves him."
"I know, trust me, I know. I have been kicking myself in the ass every day since the divorce was actually finalized. Even more, since the accidental wedding because I knew Joey would win her heart. He has always had a crush on her, I knew if he ever got a chance with her, he would make her fall in love with him. But what can I do now?"
"You didn't think she would actually end it, did you?" Sharon asked sincerely.
"No, I didn't. I didn't think she would give up on us because of my schedule, I didn't think she would walk out on our marriage and our family, but she showed me, and then there was no fixing it."
"Well, next time, put your family first and not your career. So, are you worried about spending the night in their house?" Alison stated.
"My house, our house, to their house. No, why should I be worried about sleeping in the guest room? I did it several times while we were married and the last two Christmases since she told me to leave."
"Well, because the first time, you two were still getting busy, and last year, she wasn't with Joey. I know they still getting freaky, trust us, we hear some of their stories. So, you're not worried about hearing them while they are, you know?" Alison asked.
"Little brother, you just have to listen to it; you can't get pissy or jump up and run in there. They are married and have been for over ten months now," Sharon said.
"No, they won't be doing that because her parents are there as well."
"You sure," Sharon nodded her head to Steph and Joey, all hugged up together, talking to Dave and Chris. They were both laughing, and Jordan could see that look in her eye; she wanted him. Probably had since they left, but she couldn't wait to get him home. He had seen that look in her eye so many times, yet now she wasn't looking at him. She was looking at his friend, her husband.
"Yeah, I'm sure, besides Evie is coming with me. Steph, wouldn't be rude with guests. She is just happy, and in love hurts that it's with someone other than me. I need to go check on Evie. I have left her out there too long with Ma." He walked off, and Sharon and Alison just looked at each other.
Marlene and Allan walked over to Stephanie and Joey talking to Jon."Steph, dear, looking very beautiful this evening. Hello, Joseph, how are you doing? Taking care of our girl here?"
"Hey, Marlene and Allan, sorry I was trying to make my way over to you. Thank you so much for inviting us tonight; it's so great to see you both."
"Hello, Mrs. Knight and Mr. Knight. I am doing really well, and of course, no other way to do it. Taking care of her and your grandchildren."
"Great, yea, we heard about you and Stefan making pancakes this morning. He said he and Daddy, Joey had so much fun, then you played games with them."
"Yes, ma'am, they are very important to me. He um asked me if he could call me that since I am like a Dad to him, he told me he had talked to Jordan, and he talked to Steph. I did tell him that he needed to speak to them about that to make sure no one would get upset."
"No, Joe, don't do that; you married their Mom. You live with them, and you play a fatherly role in both of their lives. If they choose, they want to call you something, then it should be their choice. It would be different if you asked them to call you that, but they both adore you. Thank you for taking such good care of my grandbabies and my daughter. No matter what, Steph, that will never change."
