The next day we took a cab to the airport and loaded onto the plane. We had bought some clean clothes and a small bag for our dirty clothes, so we only had a carry-on.

As we loaded onto the plane, we could hear people whispering and talking about us. Some were smiling, others were giving us dirty looks. Joey just held my hand tighter and whispered in my ear, "We got this, baby."

We made our way back to New York City. I cuddled into his chest the entire flight back. He had his arm wrapped around me, and we were in our own little world. When we landed, the flight attendant walked over.

"Ma'am, sir, we are going to allow you to exit the plane first; there is a security guard at the gate to escort you out."

"What, why?" Steph asked, concerned.

"Safety protocols, ma'am. There are people all over the airport waiting for you. News reporters and cameras everywhere."

"Okay, thank you, come on, baby. Hold my hand tight, and don't let go. In just a little bit, we will be out of the public eye and in our own private world again, okay, baby. I love you, Stephanie." He leaned in and kissed her.

"You love me, Joseph?"

"Yes, I always have. Okay, let's go home."

"Okay, hey, Joe, I love you. Trust me, I will be holding your hand as if my life depends on and it may. I know people are upset, but this is our life."

The attendant walked them to the door as the other passengers watched the sweet exchange between the two. One had recorded it and posted it online. They walked to the end of the tunnel, and there were four security guards and police officers waiting for them.

"Mr. McIntyre, we are going to escort you to the exit. Do you have any other luggage? Do you have a car here, a car service picking you up, or do you need a taxi?"

"No, we don't, and thank you. Um, no, our car isn't here, and I didn't order a car service, so I guess a taxi. How safe will that be? Can you get a car service to meet us at the front?" They all surrounded the couple as people watched. The one guard called on his radio and asked for a limo to be at the front loading area in five minutes For McIntyre.

Joey held her hand and rubbed his fingers across the top of it as he kissed her cheek, "we are going to be okay, babe. I promise you we will make it home safely." She looked into his eyes; he was being sincere, and he could tell she was terrified.

She had not had to deal with paparazzi during her marriage to Jordan because he kept her hidden, and his address was hidden from public records when they divorced, he had made sure that remained private.

They made their way to the security gates, and everyone jumped up. Cameras flashed as Joe wrapped his arms around Steph to keep her hidden. People were yelling questions at them like, "How could you marry Jordan's wife, is this a publicity stunt, did you really get married, is she pregnant, were you guys together before her divorce from Jordan, are you the reason she divorced Jordan."

He just held her tight until they reached the front door, and the guard opened the limo door for them as they both climbed in.

Joey pulled her tight against his body, and he held her close. "I'm sorry about that, they were driven to his Tribeca home. He looked and made sure no one was around, and he stepped out and helped her out.

"Please, wait for us." He told the driver as he walked her into his apartment building, which was on Barclay St. He took her to the elevator and punched the button for his floor when it opened.

They walked into his apartment, and she looked at his style. It was very nice light colors, he had a terrace outside that was really nice. She walked outside and looked at the view.
