They were getting married today. Her parents had flown in two days ago. Her dad kept asking her if she was sure she wanted to marry him. He had always resented Jordan because if she weren't with Jordan, she would have gone back to Tennessee with them, but now she lives in New York City.
When Jordan arrived at the airport, he took a taxi to her apartment; he stood outside and looked at the building. He had walked past this building so many times since she had left but never imagined she would live here.
Her job had given her a purchase option after three years, so for the last five, she has been purchasing her apartment. She has three years left, fifty-four thousand, and it will be hers. They got it for a steal since they bought ten apartments at the same time. One hundred and fifty-four thousand for a two-bedroom, two-bath apartment.
It has a living room and a den in the back, which she turned into an office. She figured Jordan would turn the spare room into a recording studio. They could purchase the apartment above them and conjoin them. Someone in the past had already done that. They just locked the door, which separated the two, and the stairs were still there.
Jordan walked to her floor and found her apartment; he knocked on the door. She walked over and opened it. She had been working on making room for his clothes and stuff in her room.
There stood Jordan with his duffel bags over his right arm, "honey, I'm home." He leaned in and kissed her. He sat his bags down when he walked in. He had his arms wrapped around her waist.
"Welcome home, baby." She smiled as she hadn't smiled in eight long years. "So, let me take you on a tour. This, of course, is the living room, the kitchen, through those doors, is the laundry room, this is my office, a spare room, a bathroom, and this is our bedroom; she walked in and let him look around.
He walked around and looked out the windows; he looked into the closet where he could see she had moved her clothes around for his, he walked over to the bathroom and looked inside, and then he sat down on the bed.
He felt the mattress, "very comfy and bouncy. So, just one quick question has any other guy slept in this bed or been in this bed?"
"No, has any other girl been in our bed at the house?"
"No, the only females who have even walked into that house are my sisters, mom, my brother's girls, and you."
"Really?"
"Yes, really. Look, my one-night stands happened while I was on tour about a year or so after you left me. The two girlfriends I had were more for publicity, and they never even came to Boston. That was our home, and I couldn't tarnish the memories we made there, by allowing another woman into your house."
They spent the rest of the day reconnecting in bed and ordered dinner to be delivered. Jordan could be happy here with her. In her house, they would make it their home and make new memories. Little did either of them know the gift he had given her when he gave her his everything on his bus.
They spent the next five days getting ready for their wedding. Jordan had opted to stay in a hotel down the street. Jordan got dressed and headed to Central Park, his dad was able to officiate their ceremony, and he and Stephanie had decided to write their own vows.
This wedding had cost around eleven thousand for everything, and their suits were three thousand; she paid for the dresses, and she said they cost around three grand her dress on a rush order was two thousand alone, but she loved the dress.
She had a pretty hefty account balance she paid around two grand to live, and the rest she saved. She had over a million dollars in her bank account. She was very good with money, being that in eight years, she had made about 1.6 million and still had 1.2 million after her expenses and buying her home. She even bought a new car and paid cash for it.
