Chapter 50: Welcome to the World

Joey and Stephanie went to the doctor the next day, and they reported everything was still good; she was no closer to labor as she had been the week prior.

They decided to take the trip just a short distance so that if anything happened, they could return to Boston. They decided to go to a cute little town Newport, Rhode Island, which was just over an hour from Boston.

Jordan and Steph asked the kids if they wanted to go with her and Joey or if they wanted to stay with Jordan and Evie. Both kids were excited to go to Rhode Island.

They were just going to relax at the house, play games, and watch movies. Joey was kind of happy they decided to join them. This home belonged to a friend of his who gave him the key for the weekend. He told him there were tons of movies and games because it was just a vacation home.

He had missed them and only got to spend one day before Jordan returned home with them. So, he packed all their bags and loaded them into the car. They took off on Thursday evening and arrived at their vacation home right at an hour later. 

Joey unbuckled both kids and then walked over and helped Stephanie out, he unlocked the door, and both kids took off to find their room and explore the house. He and Steph walked around as well. 

He sat her down on the couch after they looked at everything, went out and got all their luggage in and put them in the rooms. 

He put the food up and brought her a tea. He sat down with her, and she laid her head on him. "Thank you for bringing us here for family time. No one knocking on our door, and everyone knows we are not to be disturbed except by Jordan when he calls to talk to the kids. Other than an emergency, we are here all alone for three days."

"I want you to relax for these three days. In less than two weeks, we are going to have two newborn babies. Now, once the babies arrive, I am going to make sure you get plenty of rest. So, all overnight feedings and diaper changes will be done by me."

"Joey, it is both of our responsibility. I love that you are constantly trying to take care of me and making sure I am alright. You have been a great partner, the best partner to go through this with."

"Listen, baby girl, you have had nine months to bond with these two buns, and I haven't. You feel them. I mean, I do as well, but just with my hand. This is the least I can do, you carried them, and you have to give birth to them; please just let me do this. I think little feedings at night will be a great bonding time for us. I can never ever repay you for this gift you are giving me, so just say okay and let's enjoy our time together."

"Okay, I am all yours for three full days. What do you have planned?"

"Well, during the day, we will play games and watch movies with the kids. Now, our plans are a little more x-rated once our two babies go to sleep, then the remainder of the plans will happen behind closed doors. I will just say lots of pleasure is in store for you over the next three nights we are here."

"Um, is it bedtime yet? I am very intrigued to see what pleasure we are talking about."

"Ice, blindfolds, leg straps, and maybe candle wax will be involved."

"Damn it, baby, no fair getting me all hot and turned on before we can have our fun. By the way, what's for dinner?"

"Pizza tonight, then you will be my dessert." He leaned in and kissed her just as both kids came in.

"Okay, Mommy and Daddy, you can stop that. What are we going to do first?"

Joey and Stephanie both looked at each other when Joey wasn't followed by Daddy. "We can do whatever you two want to do tonight. We can watch a movie, or we can play a game. The choice is yours?"
