Michelle is doing good at Cheer camp, Joe took Steph for a visit a couple of days after she was released from the hospital.

He also spoke to the director about scheduling another camp cookout that he would furnish. He felt bad for missing the Fourth of July event, but with Steph in the hospital, he couldn't make it.

She had agreed, and so the entire band was going to make an appearance for Michelle and put on a free concert.

Steph was recovering rather well, she has to report to her orthopedic doctor this week and see how much longer she will be in the cast.

Joey bought a ton of hotdogs, hamburgers, steaks, and chicken for the cookout. Jordan bought the chips and buns. Jon bought the drinks and ice. Donnie is bringing french fries with a portable deep fryer. Danny is bringing desserts for the girls.

Jared had a small stage and sound equipment brought up last night. This was a private event for the staff and students at cheer camp only. Michelle had no idea they were arranging this.

Joe and Steph arrived with three grills and all the food. Jordan and Jon helped him carry it to the parking lot area, where everything was set up. Joe carried Steph to her seat with a drink and a fan.

"So, how's she doing?"

"She is doing pretty good, to be honest. She only had a few flashbacks of the accident. She can only remember looking down and back up with the vehicle heading straight for her. Then only pain, but that's all she remembers."

"I know she is hating you waiting on her hand and foot," Jordan said as he laughed.

"Yea, she is, but just like I told her, she has to wait until the doctor allows her to put pressure on her foot and says her ribs are healed enough for crutches."

"So, you carry her around everywhere she needs to go?" Jon asked.

"Pretty much. I did let her hobble to the bathroom using me to lean on a couple of times, but it's just easier if I carry her."

"So, how are Griff and Kira handling their mom with the cast?" Jordan asked.

"They are doing okay with it. At first, they were afraid to touch her, afraid they would hurt her. Kira rubbed her face across her scar and kissed it."

"I know it's weird for us to see her like that, so I can only imagine how it is for them. They are still so little. I'm glad most of her cuts have healed and only left small scars," Jon stated.

"Yea, me too, but she hates the scars. I told her I love every one of them because she is alive. I bought her some cream that's supposed to get rid of the scars. She has been using it for a few weeks, and now they aren't so noticeable. I only bought it for her because she was self-conscious of the scars."

"She's still beautiful, always will be. So, tell her to quit worrying about a few tiny scars."

"Trust me, I have, but you know Steph as well as I do. I hope the cream just works well enough for her to feel better. She was still beautiful the first day we landed when her face was all swollen, bruised, and stitches everywhere. She was beautiful because she was alive. I thank god every day for him allowing me to keep her. I really don't know what I would have done if we would have lost her. It would have killed me. You and I would have become single fathers because of an idiot."

"Yes, she is stubborn. I know we would have stuck together and gotten through it. We would have had to because we had four kids that would need us. When is his court date?"

"Three weeks, and I am going to be there to ensure his ass goes to jail."

"Is Steph going to the hearing?" Jon asked.
