"They are at the venue, so I can't be sure if they are together or not, but let's test this out. I don't think he will, but I know Joe will. I am going to call Joe first, and you can hear his response. Then I am going to tell Joe what we are doing, and then we will call Jordan and see what he says."

I looked at my phone to see if he was already at the soundcheck, "he may already be at the soundcheck but let's see." I dialed his number, and he answered on the second ring.

"Hey, baby, is everything okay with Evie? We are about to head into the Soundcheck, so I won't be able to talk very long."

"Yea, she was just a little upset. Hey, baby, I have been thinking, and I think I need you home. I can't do this separation. Will you please come home?"

"Steph, baby, are you okay? Are the kids okay? Baby, I am really freaking out. Look, I am going to tell the guys that I have to leave because it will take too long to drive the motorhome back to Boston; I am going to check the flights and see when the soonest one is. If I can't get one out before the show tonight, then I will perform and be on the first available flight. Can I call you back after I take care of this and talk to everyone about the details of the flight? I just need to know that you are okay, and we are okay."

"I am fine, Joey, and we are fine. You said exactly what I knew you would say. Calm down, babe; I don't need you to come home. Thank you, Joey, for loving me enough and thank you for putting me first; I love you so much, Joseph."

"Damn it, what the hell, Steph? You had me freaking out. I mean, freaking out. I am shaking right now. Of course, I love you enough to drop everything and get home to you. I meant what I said, Steph; you and the kids are my number one priority, but please don't ever do that to me again. Now, what's going on?"

"Evie wanted the entire backstory of my relationship with Jordan. She is having some issues, and she has some big news for Jordan, but she isn't sure how he will take it. So, we talked, and I told her if I called Joey right now and ask him to come home, he would first ask to make sure me and the kids were okay, and then you would book a flight with no other questions except making sure we were okay, and that's exactly what you did, that just made me love you even more than I already do. Okay, so now you know why I did that; I am going to call Jordan and tell him the same thing just to prove no matter how much he loves me, he won't leave the tour."

"Steph, baby, is that smart to get his hopes up and then crush them? I just don't want problems with him and Evie because I know what he would say. I think he would leave in a heartbeat to be with you again. Is she pregnant? Is that the big news?"

Stephanie looked over at Evie, and she shook her head, "Yes, babe, but you can't tell him. I told her everything, including him coming to the house and asking me if there was a chance for us while you were in there playing with the kids. I told her everything, including us sleeping together after we separated but before the divorce was final. You know everything because you were around for some of it, and I told you the rest."

"Yes, you did, baby. Steph is telling you the truth because even she doesn't know this. I came out of the playroom a few minutes before I walked into the dining room, and I heard some of it. I wasn't trying to eavesdrop, and I didn't think it was good for me to walk in, so I listened, and then you told me everything after he left, which only made me love you more. We only have ten minutes before we have to get the soundcheck done; they are running a little behind with the equipment. He's on his bus right now."

"Okay, thank you, baby, and I don't care that you heard our conversation. I wasn't hiding it. We vowed to remain truthful to each other, and I intend to keep that vow. Both of you say he will agree to leave; I say he won't. Call me after you finish; I love you."
