Six months later: February 2010
Joey had talked to Jordan, and he agreed to keep Michelle and Stefan while Joey whisked his wife away for their third anniversary. He was taking her to a romantic island in Greece for ten days; they would be gone for two weeks with their traveling time and all.
His mom and dad were going to keep the twins, he had Steph pumping as much as she could so they would have enough formula until we returned. They had six containers in the fridge. They were leaving in three days; that should be enough time to get another two or three.
His parents were coming over here to watch their babies. He knew Steph was struggling with leaving them, and he was as well. They had never been away from the twins, but they needed this time for them to reconnect.
They weren't having issues or anything like that, they just hadn't had any time to themselves since the babies were born. They did a date night at home every week, he would order them dinner, and they would watch a movie or talk. He made sure that happened every week.
Jordan and Evie welcomed their son in November of last year, they named him Dante. They are getting married next month before we head out on tour in May. Steph and the kids will join me when school is out, but I will fly in on a break and fly back with her.
Jordan was pissed when I said I was doing that. He said she would be fine to fly with the twins, and Michelle and Stefan could help their Mom. I was simple with my response, she probably could, and they would help her, but I am not going to do that to her. It's simple, Jordan, I love my wife, and there is no need for her to fly on her own with four kids. Two of which belong to you and two that are mine. He responded with Man, she has got you so whipped. I just smiled and said nope, I am just in love, and I care about her. Jon told him to shut up and leave me alone for caring about my wife.
Evie isn't joining Jordan this tour; he said she doesn't want the noise around Dante, but Joey and Steph both knew that wasn't true. He had told her it was best if she stayed home.
That just showed Steph how much happier she was with me. I had told her from the very beginning that I wanted her with me.
We had a show a couple of weeks ago in New York on the Jimmy Fallon show. Steph joined me with the kids. Jimmy even showed her in the audience with Michelle and Stefan; her friend Cassie kept the twins; we stayed in the City for a couple of days.
Steph walks downstairs and sees Joey standing there drinking a cup of coffee. She smiles, walks over, and wraps her arms around his waist. He lays his hand over hers, and she just rests her head on his back.
"Hey, baby, I missed you."
"I missed you, too, Joe. Okay, I pumped another container full."
"That's good, baby girl," he turned around in her arms and wrapped his arms around her. He kissed her. The kids were at Jordan's, and she had just gotten the twins down for their nap. The kiss got very heated, and she was unbuttoning his shirt. She slid it off his shoulders.
"Bedroom or right here?" He asked breathlessly.
"Bedroom," she responded. He scooped her up and carried her to their room as he kissed her. He lay her down on their bed as she was stripping her clothes off, and he removed his. He lay back down and hovered over top of her. She rubbed her hands up and down his sides as he leaned back down and kissed her.
They spent the next hour making passionate love; just as a little whimper was heard, they had finished, and he was rubbing her arm. She whined and started to get up.
He pulled her back down, rolled over, and kissed her. "You go shower; I will take care of Griff and Kira. By the way, that was amazing, I love you." He kissed her a gentle kiss and then jumped up, grabbed his boxers and a pair of shorts, slid them on and went to the nursery.
