"I think this picture would be best."

"Not that one. That was years ago."

"But Mother looks so lovely in this picture!"

"Just mention in her profile that she was a jazz singer."

The girls further discussed which photo they ought to upload to their mother's newly made profile. With Bela steadily typing away on her mother's laptop, she was contemplating how she could spice up her account. Attract someone's attention. Sitting outside on the trimmed redwood deck together, her sisters offered their occasional, helpful input and comments.

Daniela raised her finger to the display to point out yet another fault. "Wait, you need to add how she has three, beautiful daughters."

"Ah, beautiful and intelligent daughters," Cassandra clicked her tongue. "And maybe mention how we're older? I don't want this special someone to think we're infants."

"Cass," Bela chuckled at her sister's thinking process. "I listed Mother's age. I don't think anyone's going to think a single woman in her mid-forties has three infants. Three...teenage daughters should work just fine?"

"Fair point," Daniela concurred. "So, which picture are we choosing?"

"What are you all doing?"

Upon hearing her mother's voice from behind them, Bela slammed the top panel down like she had gotten caught looking at something inappropriate. "Mother! You're home early."

Daniela turned around to face her mother, offering her an upbeat wave. "Uh, did your client leave early?"

"A no-show, actually," Alcina answered, feeling like she could take a nap right about now. "Why are you out here? It's no wonder none of you heard me."

"It's springtime, and we're soaking up every bit that we can," Cassandra said. "We're bonding."

"I am pleased to hear that." Alcina was about to leave her daughters until she noticed Bela had her laptop resting in her lap. "Why do you have that with you?" They each had their own for school. Why would they be using hers?

"We're figuring some things out. And we all know that your laptop is the fastest," Daniela claimed, nudging her eldest sister with her knee for her to come up with a better excuse.

"Yeah, it's for research purposes," Bela grinned up at her mother as innocently as she could.

Alcina knew her daughters too well. Too well to know that their lying skills were terrible, which was a good thing in her eyes. Daniela would fumble over her words or talk too fast whenever she was telling a lie. Bela's body language would ultimately betray her, and although Cassandra's fibs were trickier to catch, Alcina could see it in her eyes. "All of you know better than to hide anything from me. Hand over my laptop."

"Aw, Mother!" Cassandra cried, far from thrilled that her entertainment was ending all too soon.

With much reluctance, Bela bit her bottom lip and surrendered it to her. If only she could've closed that tab in time, yet that wouldn't have mattered anyway, since her mother would've likely checked their web browsing history. "Don't be upset."

"Be upset about what?" Looking at the brightness of her screen, she was greeted with an image she didn't quite understand. "What is this? Did you create a social media account for me?" Their mother wasn't too keen on being a member of any social media platform, as she deemed it a waste of time.

"Well, not exactly social media..." Daniela mumbled.

"We're helping you find another date. A better date!" Cassandra piped up.
